Susana Figueroa, new director of the Redondela disability center

The Department of Social Policy and Equality has resolved the call for the provision, through the system of free appointment, of the directorship of the Center for Attention to Persons with Disabilities (C.A.P.D.) of Redondela, awarding the position to the civil servant Susana Figueroa Martínez. The decision was adopted by means of the Order of August 24, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Galicia number 168, of September 4, 2026, on pages 48081 and 48082.

The position, with code PS.C99.40.901.36440.001 and level 28, had been previously called by the Order of July 14, 2026, published in the DOG number 143, of July 31, 2026. The resolution was signed by the counselor Fabiola García Martínez in Santiago de Compostela on August 24.

Regulatory framework and procedure

The award was processed in accordance with article 92 of Law 2/2015, of April 29, on public employment in Galicia, and articles 5 to 8 and 25 to 28 of Decree 151/2022, of August 4, which approves the Regulation of mobility procedures for career civil servants of the general Administration of the Autonomous Community of Galicia. The department acted in the use of the powers conferred by article 17.2.c) of the aforementioned law.

The selected civil servant belongs to the superior body of the general Administration of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, group A1, and will occupy the directorship of the attention center of Redondela, a key position in the management of social services in the region.

Deadlines for cessation and taking office

The cessation from the civil servant’s current destination will occur within three days from the publication of the order in the DOG. If on that date she were enjoying leave, vacations, or permission, the period will begin to count from the day following her incorporation.

The taking of office must be carried out within three days following the cessation if it does not imply a change of residence; in seven business days if it involves a change of residence; or in one month if it assumes reentry into active service, according to article 8 of Decree 151/2022. The personnel departments of the origin and destination centers will record the proceedings of cessation and taking office in the administrative title.

Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the department within one month, or direct challenge before the competent contentious-administrative court within two months.

The filling of this management position by free appointment reinforces the management capacity of the C.A.P.D. of Redondela, a reference facility in the care of people with disabilities in the region, at a time when the planning of regional social services requires stable and specialized management profiles.
