Por FactBox Admin

The Department of Housing, Territory and Mobility of the Balearic Islands has opened the public information and expropriation process for the Construction Project for the removal of the level crossing at Camí de Moliners (PK 15+207 L2), in the municipality of Santa Maria del Camí. The Director General of Mobility, María Lorena del Valle Alonso, initially approved the project on September 1, 2026, and the announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) number 114, dated September 12, 2026.
The work, promoted by Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca, aims to eliminate a point of conflict between the railway track and road traffic, a road safety action that involves the removal of the existing level crossing at kilometer point 15+207 of line 2.
Legal framework and period for objections
The process is carried out in compliance with Article 121 of Law 4/2014, of June 20, on land transport and sustainable mobility of the Balearic Islands (LTTMSIB), and Article 13 of the Railway Sector Regulations, approved by Royal Decree 2387/2004, of December 30, applicable supplementarily. Article 18 of the Law of December 16, 1954, on compulsory expropriation, its Regulations, and Article 83 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure also apply.
Interested parties have a period of thirty business days from the date of publication in the BOIB to submit objections and rectify possible errors in the list of affected properties.
