Timber auction for the Rozalén and Naveda mountains in Cabuérniga

The Minor Local Entities of Terán and Valle (Cabuérniga) have arranged the disposal, via public auction, of the timber forestry harvesting for the year 2026 of the “Rozalén y Naveda” Public Utility Mountain, number 10-ter of the Public Utility Catalog, located in the municipality of Cabuérniga. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 160, dated August 20, 2026, within the Administrative Contracting section, with reference CVE-2026-6601 and file AF-UOM/2026/10-ter/1.

The tender is processed through an open procedure and auction format, with ordinary processing, and includes a single lot of pine and eucalyptus wood. The contract will be awarded at the risk and venture of the successful bidder, with an execution period of twelve months from the date of final award.

Object and economic conditions

The object of the contract is the sale, via auction, of a lot of timber in the “Rozalén y Naveda” public utility mountain (MUP-10-ter), belonging to the Minor Local Entities of Terán and Valle. The main characteristics of the lot are:

• Quantity: 1,447.10 cubic meters of wood.
• Base tender price: 7,969.59 euros (excluding VAT), improvable upwards.
• Type of cutting: to be executed according to the extraction criteria of the Particular Specifications of Technical-Faculty Conditions (PPCTF).
• Settlement modality: at the risk and venture of the successful bidder.
• Final guarantee: 5% of the award price, excluding VAT. No provisional guarantee is required.

Submission of proposals

The specifications can be consulted by request via the email address amparoruizf@gmail.com, and claims against them may be filed during the eight (8) business days following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of Cantabria. Simultaneously, the period for submitting proposals opens, under the following conditions:

• Submission deadline: fifteen (15) business days counting from the day following publication; if the last day is a Saturday or a non-working day, it is extended to the first following business day.
• Location: by certified mail to the Junta Vecinal de Valle de Cabuérniga, barrio de Abajo 85, 39510 Valle de Cabuérniga (Cantabria).
• Format: a sealed envelope with the identifying legend of the file, which shall contain two envelopes: Envelope A for administrative documentation and Envelope B for the economic proposal.
• Each bidder may not submit more than one proposal, nor sign proposals in a temporary union if they have already done so individually.

Opening and award

The opening of the proposals will take place at the Ecomuseo de Valle de Cabuérniga at 5:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday following the end of the submission period for bids. The announcement was signed in Cabuérniga on August 6, 2026, by the local mayor of Terán, Jesús Cañas Herrero, and by the local mayor of Valle, Jesús Ruiz Guevara.

The auction represents an opportunity for the forestry sector of the Saja-Nansa region, which may apply for the exploitation of a public utility forest under conditions of transparency and competition. The sale of the timber will generate income for the minor local entities of Terán and Valle, contributing to the sustainable management of the public forests of Cabuérniga.
