Subalterns: 621 admitted and single exam on October 4th in Santander

The Government of Cantabria has approved the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the selective process for entry, via the open call and through competitive examination, into the Professional Group of Subalterns of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The sole eliminatory exercise will be held on October 4, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the buildings of the Faculty of Law and Economic and Business Sciences, at Avenida de los Castros s/n in Santander. The resolution is published in the extraordinary Official Gazette of Cantabria number 17, dated September 23, 2026, with official reference CVE-2026-7456.

The call is governed by Order PRE/79/2026, of June 2, published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 110, of June 10. The resolution now published, dated September 21, 2026, is signed by delegation by the Director General of Public Service, Isabel Barragán Bohigas, and follows the conclusion of the period for filing appeals against the provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants. The issuing body is the Ministry of Presidency, Justice, Security, and Administrative Simplification.

621 admitted and three final exclusions

Annex I contains the final list of admitted persons, totaling 621 applicants for meeting the requirements demanded in the call. Of these, 620 appear numbered and with the National Identity Document partially hidden, while the last one appears with omitted data in application of Organic Law 1/2004, of December 28, on comprehensive protection measures against gender-based violence.

Annex II declares three people definitively excluded, all for the same reasons:

• García Lastra, Simón: does not meet the unemployment requirement and fees not paid.
• Martínez Deavila, Andrea Maricel: does not meet the unemployment requirement and fees not paid.
• Peña Sánchez, Luis: does not meet the unemployment requirement and fees not paid.

Composition of the Qualifying Tribunal

The resolution designates the members of the tribunal that will act in the selective process:

• Presidency: Ángel Rioz Crespo, with Fernando Javier Rodríguez Puertas as substitute.
• Full members: Roberto Bedia Cantera, Olga Palacio Fernández, Isabel Fernández Vallejo, Gemma Sánchez Román, and María Luisa Herrero Lastra.
• Substitute members: Judith Llorente Bejanes, Isabel Antón Ruiz, María Carmen Arce Laguillo, Ana María Gandarillas López-Pasarin, and Virginia García Ortiz.
• Secretariat: María Sonia González Puente, with Luis Carlos Fernández Toribio as substitute.

Roll call, classrooms, and required document

Applicants must arrive with a valid National Identity Document at the assigned classrooms, where the roll call will take place at 17:15 hours, fifteen minutes before the start of the exercise. The distribution of classrooms is as follows:

• Faculty of Law, Classroom 1, level minus two floor: from Abad Díaz, Juan to Egusquiza Pérez-Rasilla, Isabel.
• Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences, Classroom 1, level minus two floor: from Elizalde López, María Sonia to Guinea Garvia, Ramón.
• Classroom 2, level minus two floor: from Gutiérrez Argumosa, Jesús to Ibáñez Díaz, Ramón.
• Classroom 3, level minus one floor: from Ibarra Senso, Vanesa to Ortiz Bedia, Rosa María.
• Classroom 4, level minus one floor: from Ortiz Castanedo, David to Rodilla Benito, Carmen.
• Classroom 5, level minus one floor: from Rodríguez Escalona, María Esther to San José Arnosi, Gema.
• Classroom 6, level zero floor: from San Julián Alonso, José Luis to Zarraga Gutiérrez, Cristina.

Against this resolution, which ends the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Cantabria within two months from the day following its publication, in accordance with Article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13. Optionally, a request for reversal may be presented before the same body within one month.

The publication of the final lists closes the requirements verification phase and starts the countdown for the 621 applicants who will compete for the Subaltern positions. The roll call on October 4 is the only examination opportunity of the process; therefore, any error in the assigned classroom, the schedule, or the required documentation will exclude the applicant from the competitive examination.
