SPRI publishes the recipients of subsidies for cybersecurity training for Basque companies

SPRI-Agencia Vasca de Desarrollo Empresarial has published the list of entities that have received grants for professional cybersecurity training for Basque companies. The decision comes from Jon Ansoleaga Ugarte, the managing director of said entity, and has been made through a resolution referenced as BOPV-2026/3643, dated August 18, 2026, in BOPV issue No. 156.

The resolution was signed on July 30, 2026, in Bilbao, and publishes the results of the 2025 call for the “Competencias Digitales Profesionales en Ciberseguridad” program. This program was approved on March 24, 2025, and published in BOPV issue No. 68 on April 8, 2025. The publication is made to comply with the transparency principle required by Article 26 of the Law, pursuant to Law 20/2023 (regulating the Subsidies Regime).

Size and distribution of grants

According to the data included in the annex, more than 300 companies have received the grant, with amounts ranging from €300 to €8,100. The entities receiving the most receive €8,100 in aid, while some grants are €600 or less. Application numbers range between CDC-2025-5000 and CDC-2025-5409.

• €8,100 grants: Fundación del Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D., Fundación Lantegi Batuak, Koopera Servicios Sociales y Formación, Obispado de Vitoria, Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa and several others.
• €300 grants: Jaione Leibar Loiti, Roberto Peña González, Iker Collado González de Garibay and Holfinance Technology, S.L., among others.

Diverse sectors: industry, culture and education

The entities receiving these grants cover many different sectors. In the industrial field, there are the metalworking, automotive, electronics, pharmaceutical and food sectors. In the cultural field, Fundación del Museo Guggenheim Bilbao and Lazarraga Kultur Elkartea are the most notable. In the educational field, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Centro de Formación Somorrostro, Deutsche Schule San Alberto Magno and Colegio Vizcaya stand out.

In the social and social services sector, Caritas Diocesana de Bilbao, Fundación Hurkoa, Fundación Larratxo, Bizipoz and Asociación Bizitegi are among those receiving the grants. In the public administration field, Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Araba/Álava and Colegio de Psicología de Bizkaia are included.

Technology and innovation

Many technology and innovation companies have also applied for the grant. Among others, Virtualware 2007, S.A., Satlantis Microsats, S.A., Basquevolt, S.A., Irisbond Crowdbonding, Noray Bioinformatics, S.L. and Nuuk Mobility Solutions, S.L. stand out. The cooperative sector also has a strong presence: Lortek, S. Coop., Ekin, S. Coop., Adaka, S. Coop. and Ulma Forja, S. Coop., among others.

The confederation of cooperatives also receives support, specifically Konfekoop. The hospitality and food sectors are also represented through organizations such as the Asoc. de Empresarios de Hostelería de Gipuzkoa and Consorcio Alimentario, S.A.

What will this publication bring?

This publication reflects the diversity of the Basque business fabric, showing that cybersecurity training needs are widespread across all sectors. The grants received by large cultural institutions, educational centres, cooperatives and small technology companies demonstrate that the Basque Government’s digital strategy reaches the entire social fabric, and is not limited to large companies.
