Soto del Barco distributes 36,360 euros in grants for local activities
Por FactBox Admin

The Soto del Barco City Council has announced grants totaling 36,360.00 euros destined for activities of social, cultural, or sporting significance in the council during the 2026 fiscal year. The call is formalized through the extract of the Resolution of October 26, 2026, of the Mayor’s Office, with a correction of errors on October 27, published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) No. 215, of November 6, 2026, with the official reference Code 2026-09029.
Six grant lines and an unequal distribution
The call is divided into six lines of action, with festivities and sports as the main beneficiaries of the credit:
- Cultural promotion and encouragement activities: 1,100.00 euros.
- AMPA (Parents’ Association) activities: 3,000.00 euros.
- Activities of a sporting nature: 15,500.00 euros.
- Activities that encourage activities for the elderly: 1,260.00 euros.
- Activities that encourage citizen participation: 3,000.00 euros.
- Activities that encourage and organize festival programs: 12,500.00 euros.
The global amount coincides with the sum of the maximum credits established for each of the six lines, as detailed in the fourth section of the extract.
Associations, clubs, and individuals as beneficiaries
Projects and activities of any cultural, recreational, neighborhood association or sports club registered in the Registry of Associations and in the Registry of Sports Entities of the Council of Soto del Barco may apply for the aid. Individuals who organize an activity of social, cultural, or sporting significance are also admitted, provided they meet the requirements of Article 13 of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17.
The extract is published in application of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the same regulation, and refers to the BDNS (Identif.): 938063, where the full text of the call can be consulted through the National Subsidies Database.
The procedure is resolved through competitive bidding and is governed by the regulatory bases approved and published in the BOPA of February 15, 2022. The evaluation criteria are those established in those bases for each of the lines: cultural, elderly, and citizen participation (lines 1, 4, and 5), AMPAs (line 2), sports (line 3), and festivities (line 6).
Fifteen days to apply and justify before the end of the year
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 calendar days starting from the publication of the extract in the BOPA, that is, from this November 6, 2026. The application must be accompanied by the documentation collected in base 5 of the regulatory bases.
Regarding the justification, entities have a maximum period of 60 days from the completion of the subsidized activities, with December 30, 2026, as the non-extendable deadline, using the documentation provided in section VIII. Since the call is published close to the end of the fiscal year, the summary allows the justification of activities to be submitted along with the application itself.
The document appears signed in Soto del Barco on October 28, 2026, by the Acting Mayor (Resolution No. 486, of August 6).
Impact on the council’s associative fabric
The call arrives with a tight schedule: the council’s associations and clubs have barely two weeks to gather documentation and submit projects, and they must justify the expenditure before the end of the year. The 15,500 euros for the sports line and 12,500 for festivities account for 77% of the total budget, while activities for seniors, with 1,260 euros, are the smallest of the six items.
