Sotalbo initially approves a credit transfer from the 2026 budget

The Plenary Session of the Sotalbo City Council has initially approved, in an ordinary session held on August 13, 2026, a credit modification of the general budget for the 2026 financial year under the modality of credit transfer 1/2026. The agreement was made public via an announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila, number 174, dated September 9, 2026, and remains open for claims and allegations for fifteen days.

The decision, adopted by the municipal governing body, is processed in accordance with the provisions of Article 169 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, and Article 20 of Royal Decree 500/1990, of April 20. The file and the mandatory documentation may be examined by any interested party at the municipal offices during the public exhibition period.

Purpose of the budget modification

Credit transfer 1/2026 entails an internal readjustment of the items of the municipality’s general budget, without altering the overall amount, by transferring funds between chapters or expenditure programs. This type of operation allows the City Council to adapt the budget execution to the actual needs of the municipal economic management throughout the financial year.

The agreement is framed within the regulations for stability and control of local treasuries, which require the processing of a specific file and its submission to public information before the modification acquires a definitive character.

Deadline for allegations and procedure

During the period of fifteen business days starting from the publication of the announcement, any interested person may formulate the allegations they deem appropriate:

• The file may be examined at the municipal offices of the Sotalbo City Council.
• Claims and allegations shall be submitted within the aforementioned period.
• If no claims are submitted, the credit modification will be considered definitively approved in accordance with the adopted agreement.

The announcement was signed in Sotalbo on August 13, 2026, by the Mayor-President, Juan Manuel del Nogal Jiménez.
