The Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office of Guadalajara, under the National Statistics Institute, has called for the public draw of jury candidates who may integrate the jury courts of the province. The act will be held in a public session at ten o’clock on September 24, 2026, at the usual premises enabled for this purpose by the Provincial Court of Guadalajara, as published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 173, dated September 10, 2026.

The call is made in compliance with the provisions of Article 13.2 of Organic Law 5/1995, of May 22, on the Jury Court, which regulates the selection procedure for citizens called to be part of the jury courts. The announcement, signed on September 1, 2026, by the provincial delegate, is disseminated for the general knowledge of the affected citizens.

A draw regulated by law

The draw of jury candidates is a mandatory procedure held annually to compile the lists of people who may be designated to integrate the jury courts in criminal proceedings. Organic Law 5/1995 establishes that the selection is carried out through a public draw, thus guaranteeing the transparency and randomness of the procedure.
