Soria displays the 2026 rural property tax (IBI) register to the public

Por FactBox Admin

The Soria City Council has opened for public inspection the register for the Rural Property Tax (IBI rústico) for the 2026 fiscal year, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 100, dated August 28, 2026. The register may be examined for a period of twenty business days, starting from the day following the insertion of the announcement, and any claims deemed appropriate may be filed against it.

The measure is adopted in compliance with the applicable regulations and the Mayoral resolution, and affects all rural taxpayers in the municipality, who may verify the data corresponding to them in the new register for the fiscal year.

Consultation and Access to Data

During the exhibition period, the register may be consulted at the City Council’s Tax Management Department. Interested parties must prove their status to access the information, as it consists of protected data in accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights.

  • Exhibition period: twenty business days from the day following the publication in the gazette.
  • Place of consultation: Tax Management Department of the Soria City Council.
  • Requirement: prove interested party status to access the data.

Final Approval and Claims

If no claims have been filed after the exhibition period has elapsed, the register shall be understood as definitively approved. Otherwise, the allegations submitted will be examined prior to final approval.

Appeal for Reversal

Pursuant to Article 14 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, taxpayers may file an appeal for reversal, prior to contentious-administrative proceedings, before the Mayor, within one month starting from the day following the end of the public exhibition period.

The announcement was signed in Soria on August 24, 2026, by the Delegated Councilor for Economic Development, Francisco Javier Muñoz Expósito.

The publication of the rural IBI register is an annual procedure of great relevance for owners of rural estates in Soria, as it determines the quota they must pay for the fiscal year and opens the way to correct errors or discrepancies in the cadastral data before the register is definitively approved.
