Por FactBox Admin

The Soria City Council, through its Municipal Sports Department, has published the call for the award of continuous-use time slots at municipal sports facilities for the 2026/2027 season. The call appears in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 93, of August 12, 2026, with the official reference BOPSO-93-12082026, and opens a period of 15 business days to submit applications. Sports organizations and groups of users who carry out sports activities within the municipality may apply.

Time slots will be awarded in two periods: from October 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027, and from February 1 to May 31, 2027, with a review of the first four-month period’s awards scheduled for December. During the remaining months, provisional use may be granted upon application to the Municipal Sports Department. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the city council’s electronic office (https://soria.sedelectronica.es/info.0).

Facilities and requestable time slots

The call concerns six municipal facilities, including sports halls, sports centers, swimming pools and football fields:

  • Los Pajaritos Pavilion: central court, three transverse courts, weights gym and natural turf field of the former stadium.
  • Fuente del Rey Sports Center: central court, transverse courts, Aire 1 and 2 gyms and swimming pool.
  • San Andrés Sports Center Pavilion: courts, skating rink, 11-a-side and 7-a-side football fields, frontón, tennis, padel and two gyms.
  • Ángel Tejedor Swimming Pool: teaching pool, recreational pool and gyms 2 and 3.
  • Polideportivo de la Juventud and Polideportivo de las Pedrizas: frontón, gym and courts.

For training by clubs and groups, Monday to Friday, time slots may be requested at Fuente del Rey from 18:30 to 22:30; at San Andrés, Los Pajaritos and la Juventud from 8:00 to 22:00 (at Los Pajaritos with a break from 15:00 to 16:00); and at the Ángel Tejedor swimming pool according to public opening hours, except for the periods reserved for schools and official campaigns. For official competitions, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and afternoon are reserved at the pavilions of Los Pajaritos, Fuente del Rey and San Andrés.

Who can apply and with what documentation

  • Sports organizations: clubs and federations; clubs must be registered in the Registry of Organizations of the Soria City Council as of January 1, 2026.
  • Parent-teacher associations of the schools in the municipality of Soria.
  • Grouped users, who must provide the details of each member of the group.

The documentation conforms to the models in Annexes I and II of the call. Sports entities must attach the detailed list of all their teams or groups, with name, category, number of members holding a current federation license, and league or championship in which they are registered. In addition, the use of the citizen card is mandatory to access the facilities: each concessionary group must submit the list of its members (athletes, management and coaching staff) with first name, surname, national ID number and card identifier number.

Award criteria

  • During competition times: higher membership category over lower, and grassroots sport over amateur.
  • During training times: entities with a structure of lower categories (at least two grassroots sport teams), development sport, and higher membership category and age.
  • In similar conditions, a distribution criterion will be applied; if demand far exceeds the supply of spaces, a draw may be used.

The granting of use shall be subject to the Public Price Regulatory Ordinance for the use of Municipal Sports Facilities and to the General Regulations for Sports Facilities of the municipality of Soria.

The call, signed in Soria on 7 August 2026 by the mayor, Javier Antón Cacho, determines the upcoming season for the entire sports community of the capital: clubs, federations, parent associations and user groups must formalize their requests within 15 business days if they want to guarantee their training and competition spaces from 1 October.
