Sodebur and Villarcayo promote a hunting fair with international projection

Sodebur has published the extract of the collaboration agreement with the City Council of Villarcayo de Merindad de Castilla la Vieja to finance a regional hunting, fishing, and mycology fair with international projection. The agreement was adopted by the Board of Directors of the provincial society on December 12, 2025, and is recorded in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 184, dated September 28, 2026, under reference BopBur-2026-03997. The call is identified in the National Grants Database with number 929599.

The Society for the Development of the Province of Burgos (Sodebur), dependent on the Provincial Council of Burgos, delegated to its president the processing and granting of this framework collaboration agreement with the Villarcayo council. A fair to revitalize the rural environment

The purpose of the agreement is to boost the development of the rural environment of the province of Burgos through an information and promotion event. It is a regional fair of international relevance and projection, featuring exhibitors from neighboring countries, included in the trade fair calendar of Castilla y León.

The event is aimed at informing and promoting the endogenous resources of hunting, fishing, and mycology, as well as providing visibility and economic momentum to the activities, companies, entrepreneurs, and exhibitors linked to these sectors. The scope of application includes municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants in the province of Burgos.

Presentations, round tables, and immersive experience

The eligible activities provided for in the agreement are as follows:

• Serving as a forum for current trends in hunting, fishing, and mycology through presentations, talks, and round tables.
• Having a complete audiovisual production service for the event regarding sound, audio, and technical feasibility.
• Carrying out an educational exhibition in the form of an immersive experience with the projection of information and promotion of endogenous hunting, fishing, and mycology resources.
• Configuring the event as a revitalizing element for the rural environment, suitable for both specialized professionals and the general public.

Beneficiary and obligations

The sole beneficiary of the agreement is the City Council of Villarcayo de Merindad de Castilla la Vieja, which must comply with the current regulations and the requirements and characteristics specified in the agreement itself. The publication of the summary opens the way for the processing and granting of the aid by the president of Sodebur, by virtue of the delegation agreed upon by the Board of Directors on December 12, 2025.
