Sodebur destina 1,2 millones a siete grupos de desarrollo rural de Burgos

The Society for the Development of the Province of Burgos (Sodebur), dependent on the Provincial Council of Burgos, will allocate 1,226,350 euros to framework collaboration agreements with seven local action groups to stimulate the economy, territorial promotion, and entrepreneurship in the rural areas of Burgos. The Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos no. 189, dated October 5, 2026, publishes the extracts of these calls in section V, Other official announcements, with references BopBur-2026-04118 to BopBur-2026-04124.

The agreements derive from the agreement adopted on May 14, 2026, by the Board of Directors of Sodebur, which delegated the processing and granting of the same to its president, Carlos Gallo Sarabia. The publication complies with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and each extract refers to the National Subsidies Database (BDNS), where the full text of the call can be consulted.

The budget was allocated for the 2026 financial year according to the Board of Directors meeting held on December 12, 2025, and will be allocated again in 2027 given the biennial nature of the agreements. The beneficiaries are the rural development associations operating in the different regions of the province.

Eligible activities

All agreements share the same objective: to articulate collaboration between Sodebur and each entity to promote economic revitalization activities, territorial promotion, support for entrepreneurship, and the strengthening of the business fabric of rural areas, through the Territorial Innovation Centers program of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

The funded programs are:

  • “Navidad Burgos Origen y Destino” (Christmas Burgos Origin and Destination), a Christmas tourism campaign in the “Most Beautiful Villages of Spain” within the province.
  • Provincial Coworking, to identify, energize, and connect coworking spaces and create a network with a booking platform.
  • “Te enseño mi pueblo” (I’ll show you my town) (TEMP), local volunteering that shows the municipality to visitors and creates tourist and cultural routes.
  • “Burgos rural market” (BRM), support for the digital marketing of products and services from rural areas through an online sales platform.
  • Projects of territorial interest, promoted by each group, local entities, or other agents, subject to prior coordination and approval by Sodebur.

The municipalities designated for the Christmas program are Santa Gadea del Cid and Poza de la Sal (ADECO Bureba), Castrojeriz (ADECO Camino), Lerma (ADECOAR), Covarrubias (AGALSA and ASOPIVA), Caleruega (ADRI Ribera del Duero Burgalesa), and Puentedey and Frías (CEDER Merindades).

Deadlines, justification, and publicity

The actions will be executed from the signing of the agreement until November 15, 2027, with a justification period extending until December 1, 2027. The agreements will be published in the National Grants Database, in the Official Provincial Gazette and on the Sodebur website (www.sodebur.es).

The financing of these seven agreements represents the regional deployment of the provincial strategy for the demographic challenge: each local action group manages its own territorial area, from Bureba to Merindades, passing through Arlanza, Sierra de la Demanda, Ribera del Duero, and Pinares-El Valle. For readers in rural areas, the published extracts establish the amounts, programs, and specific deadlines to which business and tourism initiatives in each region may apply until the end of 2027.
