Socuéllamos admits 94 applicants and appoints the Local Police tribunal
Por FactBox Admin

The Socuéllamos City Council has provisionally admitted 94 applicants and excluded 43 in the selection process to fill three positions for Agent of the local Local Police Force. The decision is formalized in Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-2351, dated October 6, 2026, which also establishes the composition of the Qualifying Board. The text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real No. 193, dated October 7, 2026, under announcement number 3239.
The process is governed by the rules published in BOP No. 165, dated August 28, 2026, issued under the 2026 Public Employment Offer (BOP No. 139, dated July 23, 2026). The selection will be resolved through the open competitive examination system. The deadline for submitting applications expired on October 5, 2026 and, having examined the requests received, the Mayor’s Office-Presidency resolved in accordance with article 41.14.a) of the Regulation of Organization, Operation and Legal Regime of Local Entities, approved by Royal Decree 2568/86, of November 28.
Provisional list: 94 admitted and 43 excluded
The resolution approves the provisional list of admitted persons, consisting of 94 candidates, and the list of excluded persons, with 43 names. Among those admitted are, in alphabetical order, Víctor Manuel Agudo Bellón, Rodrigo José Apio Rodrigo, Alberto Arcos Sánchez, Israel Arroyo Barbudo, Iván José Ávila Alcolea and Tomás Ávila Alcolea, completing a list that spans surnames from the letter A to Álvaro Zúñiga Carrasco.
The excluded, led by Carlos Alcolea Collado, Carlos Algaba Gabaldón and Manuel María Aranda Ruiz de la Hermosa, appear identified with the specific reason or reasons for their exclusion, which in several cases are cumulative.
Reasons for exclusion and period for appeals
The causes for exclusion collected in the annex of the resolution are five:
- Failure to provide the DNI (rule 3.1).
- Failure to provide the annex or it not being signed (rule 3.1).
- Failure to provide proof of payment of the fee (rule 3.1).
- Failure to provide the required qualification (rule 2.1).
- Failure to provide the driving permit (rule 2.1).
Pursuant to point 4.1 of the rules, a period of ten business days is granted to present appeals to the provisional list, counted from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Province. After the correction period has elapsed and the appeals have been reviewed, the final list of admitted and excluded persons will be approved by Mayoral Resolution, in which the date, time, and place for the start of the tests will be indicated. That resolution will likewise be published in the BOP.
Composition of the Qualifying Board
The selection body is composed of the following members:
- Antonio Velasco Márquez, titular president (Chief Sub-inspector of the La Solana City Council).
- Sonia Contreras Sánchez, substitute president (Officer of the La Solana City Council).
- Rafael Luis Serena Leal, titular secretary (official of the Intervention Department of the Socuéllamos City Council).
- Soledad del Socorro Lopezosa, substitute secretary (official of the Secretariat Department of the Socuéllamos City Council).
- Emilio Manuel Piqueras Vidal, titular member, and Alberto Corpa Romero, substitute (Officers of the Socuéllamos and Villarrobledo city councils, respectively).
- José Martín Moya Moreno, titular member, and Ana María Rincón Salcedo, substitute (Senior Technician and Head of Service of the Provincial Delegation of Finance, Public Administrations and Digital Transformation in Ciudad Real).
- Ignacio Sánchez Gento, titular member, and José Jaime Clemente Romero, substitute (Officers of Socuéllamos and Villarrobledo).
- Samuel Juárez López, titular member, and Francisco Arroyo Cózar, substitute (Officer of Socuéllamos and Chief Officer of Moral de Calatrava).
The full resolution, in addition to being in the Official Provincial Gazette, is displayed on the notice board of the electronic headquarters of the Socuéllamos City Council. The document appears signed in Socuéllamos on October 6, 2026, by the Mayor-President, María Concepción Arenas Mulet.
The publication opens the decisive phase of the process: the 43 excluded applicants now have the opportunity to correct their applications, while the 94 admitted candidates already know who will evaluate their tests. For the municipality, the call for applications means reinforcing with three new officers a Local Police force whose selection will be resolved entirely through open competitive examination.
