A recurring disposal cycle
This is the 34th notification in the series. The preceding one, the Road Traffic (Forfeited Non-Compliant Vehicles No. 32) Notification 2026 (G.N. Separately, G.N. No. 4932, a notice under the Small Motorised Vehicles (Safety) Act 2020 read with section 53(1) of the Active Mobility Act 2017, provided for disposal of forfeited vehicles at the end of one month after publication, and allowed a person to lodge a written objection showing good cause why possession of a vehicle should be returned.
For riders and dealers in e-mobility devices, the notice confirms that non-compliant power-assisted bicycles and personal mobility devices can be permanently taken out of circulation and then resold or scrapped by the state, with each batch published in the Gazette before disposal.
