Sigüenza appoints three new local police officers as career civil servants
Por FactBox Admin

The Sigüenza City Council has appointed Daniel Martín Guzmán, Israel Pérez Contento, and Natalia Arranz Cobos as career civil servants for the position of local police officer, after the three candidates successfully completed the initial selective training course. The appointments are formalized in three Mayoral resolutions published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara (BOP) number 193, dated October 9, 2026. With these additions, the municipality reinforces its local security staff.
The three agreements were signed in Sigüenza on October 2, 2026, by the Mayor María Jesús Merino Poyo and are disseminated in the Announcements section, within the City Councils category. Each resolution reproduces the full text of the agreement and orders its publication in both the Official Gazette of the Province and on the City Council’s Notice Board, for general knowledge.
The file is based on the certificate from the Citizen Protection School of Castilla-La Mancha, which accredits that the candidates have successfully completed the XXXVIII Selective Initial Training Course for the category of Local Police.
The three appointments and their resolutions
- Daniel Martín Guzmán: Mayoral Resolution No. 2026/1446.
- Israel Pérez Contento: Mayoral Resolution No. 2026/1448.
- Natalia Arranz Cobos: Mayoral Resolution No. 2026/1447.
Each of the agreements is structured into three sections: the appointment as a career civil servant in favor of the candidate, the notification to the interested party communicating the date of taking office, and the publication of the appointment in the BOP and on the municipal notice board.
Requirements prior to taking office
Effective incorporation is conditional upon the certification of compliance with all the requirements for the position specified in base 10.6 of the call for applications. The City Council will communicate the date of taking office to each candidate once those requirements have been verified.
Legal framework of the appointments
The resolutions are adopted under article 21.1.h) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, on the Bases of the Local Regime; article 136 of the Recast Text of the legal provisions in force regarding the Local Regime, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18; and article 7 of Royal Decree 896/1991, of June 7, which establishes the basic rules and minimum programs for the selection procedure of Local Administration civil servants.
The publication in the provincial gazette closes the selection procedure and gives public validity to the appointment, which converts the three candidates into career civil servant personnel of the municipality’s Local Police Force.
The incorporation of three officers at once represents a significant reinforcement for the Local Police force of Sigüenza, one of the most important towns in the province with a population that multiplies during certain times of the year. Their appointment as career civil servants provides stability to the new personnel and completes a selection process that now culminates with the taking of office.
