Seven fire sub-inspector positions: provisional list of admitted candidates

The Provincial Fire Extinction Agency, under the Provincial Council of Granada, has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates for the selection process to fill seven positions for sub-inspector, group B, Special Administration, through the competitive examination system by internal promotion. The list is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada number 169, dated September 2, 2026, with reference BOP-GRA-2026-169001.

The list was approved by Vice President’s Resolution number 166/2026, dated August 18, and signed in Granada on August 26, 2026, by Vice President Eduardo Miguel Martos Hidalgo. The announcement affects firefighters from across the province aspiring to be promoted within the corps.

Framework of the selection process

The rules of the call were approved by Resolution number 127/2026, dated July 7, 2026, and published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada number 132, dated July 13, 2026. An extract of the call was also disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia number 141, dated July 23, and in the Official State Gazette number 182, dated July 27.

The application period was ten business days, from July 28 to August 10, 2026. Following this period, the convening body has resolved to approve the provisional list of applicants.

Admitted and excluded

The provisional list includes 14 admitted applicants and 1 excluded. The admitted candidates are:

The only excluded candidate is José Ángel González Ferreiros, for reason number 2, corresponding to the absence of annex II of the call. The planned reasons for exclusion are two: failure to present the DNI (reason 1) and failure to provide annex II (reason 2).

Correction period

Excluded applicants have a period of ten business days to correct the documentation, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada. All processing will be carried out through the website of the Provincial Council of Granada (https://dipgra.convoca.online).

Correction is the only means by which an excluded applicant can join the competitive examination phase; therefore, the interested party must submit annex II within the specified period to avoid being definitively excluded from the process.

Relevance of the call

The filling of these seven sub-inspector positions through internal promotion strengthens the command structure of the Provincial Fire Extinction Agency, which provides service to the municipalities throughout the province of Granada. As an internal promotion, the call recognizes the career trajectory of active firefighters and ensures that the new sub-inspectors have first-hand knowledge of the provincial emergency operations.
