Siétamo appoints Mª Pilar Mur Huerto as second deputy mayor

The Siétamo City Council has appointed Mª Pilar Mur Huerto as the new second deputy mayor, replacing Verónica Daza Baldellou, who resigned from her position as councilwoman. The appointment is formalized by Mayoral Decree No. 186/2026, dated August 18, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 158, dated August 20, 2026 (reference BOPH-2026-158010).
In parallel, a Mayoral Resolution No. 189/2026, also dated August 18, delegates all mayoral functions to the new second deputy mayor for the period between August 19 and 31, both inclusive (reference BOPH-2026-158011).
A succession prompted by the councilwoman’s resignation
The appointment is a result of the resignation submitted by Verónica Daza Baldellou from her position as a councilwoman of the Siétamo City Council. According to the decree, this resignation determines the loss of the status necessary to hold the office of deputy mayor and, consequently, the vacancy of the position.
The designation is adopted in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 23.3 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and in accordance with Articles 46 and following of the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities.
Delegation of the acting mayoralty
The second deputy mayor also assumes, by delegation, all the functions of the mayor during the period from August 19 to 31, 2026, both inclusive. The delegation is published in accordance with the provisions of Article 44.2 of the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities, approved by Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28.
The documents, dated in Siétamo on August 19, 2026, are signed by the mayor, José Mª Loscertales Aranda.
