Seville renews the tribunal for the seven Social Worker positions
Por FactBox Admin

The Seville City Council has renewed three members of the Qualifying Tribunal for the selection process to fill 7 Social Worker positions, after accepting the resignations submitted by the affected parties. The decision is formalized in resolution no. 6216, dated September 25, 2026, issued by the Director General of Human Resources by delegation of the Governing Board of the City of Seville, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville no. 189, dated September 29, 2026 (CVE BOP-SE-2026-189033).
The seven positions belong to the ordinary Public Employment Offers of 2022 and 2023, and the process is governed by the rules published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville no. 12, dated January 17, 2024. The file is processed by the Selection, Recruitment, and Human Resources Management Service, under the General Directorate of Human Resources of the Citizen Security and Human Resources Area. The resolution is adopted by virtue of the competence attributed by delegation of the Governing Board of the City of Seville through the agreement of October 4, 2024, and in view of the report from the aforementioned Service dated September 24, 2026.
The three accepted resignations
The first section of the resolution grants the resignations submitted by three members appointed to this selection procedure:
- Víctor Manuel Grimaldi Puyana, Alternate Member 4, who submitted his writing on September 17, 2026.
- María José Escrivá Torralva, Permanent Member 1, whose writing is dated September 23, 2026.
- Reyes Álvarez Casado, Alternate Member 3, who communicated her resignation on September 24, 2026.
The new appointed members
The second section modifies the composition of the Qualifying Tribunal with three appointments, all of whom are career civil servants of the Seville City Council:
- María Valle Delgado Martín Prat as Permanent Member 1, replacing María José Escrivá Torralva; Technical Sub-scale of the Special Administration Scale.
- Cristina Fernández-Figueroa Iglesias as Alternate Member 3, replacing Reyes Álvarez Casado; Technical Sub-scale of the General Administration Scale.
- María Paz Marín Suárez as Alternate Member 4, replacing Víctor Manuel Grimaldi Puyana; Technical Sub-scale of the Special Administration Scale.
A chained renewal of the tribunal
This is not the first reorganization of the body. Resolution No. 5493, dated August 19, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville No. 163, dated August 24, 2026 (CVE BOP-SE-2026-163019), had already reorganized the Qualifying Tribunal. At that time, the resignation of Carlos Jesús Núñez Gómez was accepted due to a ground for abstention under Article 23 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector.
In the same agreement, Ignacio Pérez Royo (titular president), Reyes Casares Ordóñez (substitute member 2), and Marco Antonio Navarro Maldonado (titular member 4) were dismissed having lost their status as career civil servants due to retirement, pursuant to Article 63 c) of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee. María José González Muñoz (titular member 3) and Amparo Pitel Huertas (substitute member 4) were also dismissed, and Antonio Reina Montoya was appointed as titular president.
Publication and effects
The third section orders the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville and on the website of the Seville City Council. The document appears electronically signed on September 25, 2026, by Albina García González, head of the Selection, Recruitment and Human Resources Management Service, and occupies pages 166 and 167 of the provincial gazette.
The stability of the Qualifying Tribunal is decisive for the schedule of a process that has already accumulated several departures and substitutions in just over a month. Applicants for the seven Social Worker positions must follow the successive resolutions published in the provincial gazette, as each change in the selection body may affect the scheduling of exercises and the deadlines for appeals.
