Sevilla appoints temporary VOX advisor to vacant administrative position

The Mayor of Seville has appointed María de las Nieves García de Zúñiga Barberán as temporary staff, with trust or special advisory functions, assigned to the VOX Municipal Group. That termination was processed through file No. 1115/2026 and was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville No. 170, Wednesday, September 2, 2026 (official reference: BOP-SE-2026-170013). The position code coincides with the one appearing in the new resolution, meaning that the appointment of García de Zúñiga Barberán fills the vacancy left by the previous advisor of the municipal group.

The resolution expressly invokes the powers granted to the mayor by Article 104.2 of Law 7/1985, Regulating the Bases of Local Regime, the regulation that governs the regime of temporary staff in the service of local entities.
