The Seville City Council has approved a public call for grants endowed with 112,000 euros to facilitate the provision of services corresponding to complementary and extracurricular activities in the city’s educational centers. The agreement was adopted by the Governing Board of the City of Seville on September 25, 2026, and is published as an extract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville no. 194, dated October 6, 2026, with the official reference BOP-SE-2026-194021. The grants are awarded in the form of “Grants in Kind,” and the application period remains open until October 30, 2026.
The published text is extract no. 222135 of the agreement of the Department of Education, Youth, Municipal Buildings, Sport, and Health Promotion, which approves the call in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17. The extract refers to the full text available in the National Grants Database, where the call is identified by the code BDNS 932989.
The call is based on the General Ordinance approving the regulatory bases for grants awarded by the Seville City Council through the competitive bidding procedure, dated June 16, 2005, published in the Official Gazette of the province no. 161, dated July 14, 2005. The agreement was signed in Seville on September 29, 2026, by the Deputy Mayor for Education, Youth, Municipal Buildings, Sport, and Health Promotion, Blanca Gastalver Molina.
Who can apply and for what purpose
Parent-teacher associations that meet the following requirements may apply for the grants:
- PTAs of early childhood, primary, secondary, or special education centers.
- Public centers or private centers supported by public funds.
- Centers located in the city of Seville.
- PTAs registered in the corresponding Registry.
The purpose of the call is to contribute to complementing school activity by collaborating in the comprehensive education of students, as well as to promote information on matters of interest and concern to the entire educational community, providing tools to all agents involved in this task.
Amount, modality, and form of award
The reserved credit amounts to 112,000 euros in a single modality, called Educational Conferences. The call is not resolved by comparing projects, but rather by order of entry:
- Grants are processed and awarded as they are correctly and completely requested.
- A strict first-come, first-served order is followed.
- Distribution stops upon reaching the limit of the available budget credit.
Deadline and submission of applications
The application period is extended until October 30, 2026, starting from the day following the publication of the call summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville. Only applications submitted in a timely and proper manner will be admitted for processing.
The call reaches the city’s AMPAs (Parents’ Associations) with a procedure that rewards speed: since it is resolved on a first-come, first-served basis and not through comparative competition, associations that complete their documentation sooner will have more opportunities to access the available credit. For families, the program translates into municipal support for complementary and extracurricular activities and for information directed at the educational community, with a deadline expiring at the end of October.
