SESPA announces an interim administrative management position in Area III

The Management of Health Area III East of the Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (SESPA) has approved, by resolution dated August 17, 2026, the call for the interim coverage of one position in the Administrative Function Management Group (Group A2, destination supplement level 21), vacant in the organic staff of managing center 9701500. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) number 166, dated August 27, 2026, with official reference 2026-06965.
The position is intended for the development of functions involving the preparation, integration, analysis, and exploitation of the Area’s clinical-care information, as well as the design and maintenance of information systems and dashboards oriented toward activity monitoring and support for planning and decision-making. The position will be integrated into the Citizen Care Service, within the Admission Section and Information Unit.
Regulatory Framework
The call is based on Article 9.1 of Law 55/2003, of December 16, of the Framework Statute of statutory personnel of health services, which regulates interim appointments for reasons of necessity and urgency, and Article 33 of the same regulation, which requires procedures based on the principles of equality, merit, capacity, competence, and publicity. It is also supported by the SESPA Pact on the Hiring of Temporary Personnel and Decree 123/2025, of December 11, on the organic structure of the health service, in relation to the Law of the Principality of Asturias 7/2019, of March 29, on Health.
Requirements and Submission of Applications
Applicants for temporary promotion, those registered in the corresponding category, and personnel external to the system may apply. Candidates must meet the required requirements by the end date of the application submission period, which will be 15 business days from the day following the publication in the BOPA.
- Hold a qualification consistent with the classification group of the position.
- Possess Spanish nationality, or nationality of a EU Member State or the European Economic Area.
- Not have been convicted of crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity, in accordance with Organic Law 8/2021.
- Not hold the status of fixed statutory personnel, fixed contractual personnel, or career civil servant in the convened category.
Applications shall preferably be submitted to the registries of Health Area III East, accompanied by a curriculum vitae, documentation accrediting merits, and a report/memorandum of up to 40 pages.
Selection Process
The maximum score will be 100 points, distributed across three phases:
- Professional curriculum evaluation (general scale, annex II): up to 60 points.
- Specific merits for the position (annex III): up to 30 points, assessing experience in information systems, digital transformation, project management, and specific training.
- Report/memorandum on the development of functions (annex IV): up to 10 points, with a possible presentation and defense before the Selection Committee.
The Selection Committee will consist of five members, with their corresponding alternates. To be awarded the position, it will be a requirement to achieve at least 60% of the maximum score of the specific scale and a minimum of 5 points in the report. The temporary employment relationship will have a maximum duration of three years, through an interim appointment to a vacant position or a resolution for temporary internal promotion.
