Seseña announces three Local Police vacancies via mobility competition

Seseña convoca tres plazas de Policía Local por concurso de movilidad

The Seseña City Council (Toledo) has announced a process to fill three Local Police positions via a competition system, under the mobility shift. The call is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha no. 204, dated October 23, 2026, through the announcement of 10/08/2026 with reference 2026/7370, and opens a application submission period of fifteen business days starting from the day following its publication.

Rules published in the Official Provincial Gazette

The announcement refers to the final rules of the process, which appear published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo no. 192, dated October 7, 2026. These rules modify those initially published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo no. 186, dated September 29, 2026, such that the current and applicable version is that of October 7.

The text signed by the delegated councilor for Personnel, María Jesús Villalba Toledo, dated in Seseña on October 8, 2026, does not detail the merits of the scale nor the requirements for applicants: these points are referred entirely to the rules approved and published in the provincial gazette.

Characteristics of the positions

The three announced positions have the following characteristics according to the official announcement:

  • Number of positions: three.
  • Body: Local Police and its auxiliaries.
  • Scale: Special Administration.
  • Sub-scale: Special services.
  • Selection system: competition, not an examination.
  • Shift: mobility, reserved for officers already active in other bodies.
  • Application period: fifteen business days from the day following the publication in the DOCM.

Calendar and processing

The calculation of the period begins the day after the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, that is, starting Monday, October 26, 2026. Excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the fifteen business days would conclude on November 13, 2026.

The announcement warns that the subsequent steps of the process—admission of applications, evaluation of merits, and resolution—will not be published in the DOCM, but in the locations indicated for each step within the regulatory rules themselves. Interested parties must therefore monitor the notice board and the municipal electronic office to stay informed of each step.

A recurring model in the province of Toledo

The mobility competition formula is common among Toledo’s city councils to fill vacancies in their police forces with already trained officers. Similar calls from other municipalities in the province can be found in the same Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, such as the two positions via mobility and merit competition from the Escalona City Council, announced on August 13, 2026, with reference 2026/5973, or the single position from the Santa Olalla City Council, published on October 5, 2026, with reference 2026/7034.

The Seseña call is distinguished by its volume: three positions at once, the largest of the recent mobility processes located in the province in the last quarter.

Impact for active officers

The news directly affects local police officers serving in other municipalities who are seeking a transfer to Seseña, a municipality with significant residential growth in the La Sagra region. Since this is a mobility competition and not an open call, the announcement does not open the door to new applicants without previous experience in the force, but is instead directed at those who are already officers and wish to change their destination without going through an entry selection process.

The deadline is short and documentation must be submitted according to guidelines that were corrected just one week before the announcement was published; therefore, interested parties must consult the October 7 version and not the one from late September.
