Serón de Nágima puts the municipal bar up for bid for 50 euros a month

The City Council of Serón de Nágima has called for the procedure for the award of the lease and operation contract for the municipally-owned bar and grocery store, located at calle El Pilar, nº 1. The tender announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria (Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Soria) no. 117, dated October 9, 2026, with the official reference BOPSO-117-09102026, and bids may be submitted within a period of 15 calendar days.

The property is owned by the City Council of Serón de Nágima and is leased for operation as a bar and grocery store establishment, according to the announcement signed in Serón de Nágima on October 1, 2026, by the mayor, María Isabel Latorre Hernández. The call seeks to ensure the continuity of a basic service for the municipality and, at the same time, open a path for economic activity for local entrepreneurs.

A competition open to any interested party

The method of award will be a competition, such that any interested party may submit a bid. The procedure is governed by the provisions of Article 107.1 of Law 33/2003, of November 3, on the Heritage of Public Administrations.

The administrative documentation and the specifications governing the contract are available to interested parties through three channels:

• The electronic office of the City Council of Serón de Nágima.
• The procurement platform.
• The City Council Secretariat, during public office hours.

Budget and contract duration

The economic and temporal conditions of the lease are as follows:

• Base tender budget: 50.00 euros per month, plus the corresponding VAT.
• Initial duration: one year.
• Extensions: year by year up to a maximum of five years.
• Condition for extensions: agreement of the corporation and the lessee.

Deadlines, submission, and opening of bids

Proposals shall be submitted to the City Council of Serón de Nágima, located at Plaza Mayor, nº 1, within a period of 15 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the tender announcement. The hours enabled for the submission of bids are as follows:

• Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00 to 13:00 hours.

The opening of the bids will take place at the City Council of Serón de Nágima on the sixth business day counting from the date on which the deadline for the submission of proposals ends.

The tender comes at a time when small municipalities face the difficulty of keeping their local services open.
