Segovia approves the final list of admitted candidates for IT Technician

The Segovia City Council has closed the admission phase of the selection process to permanently fill a position for Intermediate IT Technician, after definitively approving the list of admitted and excluded applicants. The decision was adopted via Mayoral Resolution number 2026/04890, dated July 31, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Segovia number 101, dated August 24, 2026, with reference RC-11316.

The process began with the approval of the rules via Resolution number 2026/02363, dated April 17, 2026, which were published in the Official Gazette of the Province number 51, dated April 29, 2026, in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 75, dated April 21, 2026, and whose extract appeared in the Official State Gazette number 111, dated May 7, 2026. Subsequently, Decree number 2026/04026, dated June 24, 2026, provisionally approved the list of admitted and excluded applicants, the composition of the qualifying tribunal, and the date, place, and time of the first exercise.

Two applicants definitively excluded

The definitive resolution confirms the exclusion of two applicants, who are now out of the selection process. The complete list of admitted and excluded applicants is available on the electronic headquarters of the Segovia City Council (https://sede.segovia.es) and is included as an annex to the decree itself.

A key technical position for the council

The announced position corresponds to the professional category of Intermediate IT Technician, a technical profile intended to reinforce municipal IT services. The filling of the position is carried out through an open competitive examination system, in accordance with the unitary rules governing selection processes to permanently fill vacant positions in the Segovia City Council.

The announcement, signed on August 3, 2026, by the mayor, José Mazarías Pérez, is part of the Personnel and Organization block of the provincial gazette. With the definitive approval of the list, the process is now in a position to move forward toward the holding of the selection tests for the admitted applicants.
