Sarria announces positions for computer technician and cultural manager.

The Sarria City Council opens two selection processes to fill, as career civil servants, one position for IT technical assistant and another for cultural manager. The terms, approved by the mayor, Claudio M. Garrido Martínez, through Decrees 2026-1247 and 2026-1196, are published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Lugo No. 184, of August 13, 2026 (R. 2178 and R. 2179). Interested parties have 20 calendar days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Bulletin, to submit their application.

Both calls are processed under the competitive examination system (concurso-oposición) in the open competition mode and are aimed at the Special Administration scale, Technical subscale, group C, subgroup C1. The IT position comes from the OPE 2023, while the cultural manager position appears in the OPE 2025, published in the BOP of Lugo No. 240, of October 18, 2025. In both processes, job pools will be created for interim coverage, governed by Decree 2023-1299, and in both cases proof of Celga 4 or equivalent is required.

IT technical assistant, from the 2023 OPE

The position, assigned to post 01.03.02 of the staffing structure, is open to those holding a higher-level training cycle in the Computing and Communications professional family or an equivalent qualification, as well as university qualifications directly related to IT. The examination phase is worth up to 30 points and the merits phase up to 20:

• Theoretical exercise: multiple-choice test of 50 questions (5 reserve) in 50 minutes.
• Practical exercise: one or several hypothetical cases about the functions of the position, in 90 minutes.
• Merits: services rendered, training courses and professional ICT certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco or equivalent).

Cultural manager, from the 2025 OPE

The position, 25 hours per week and assigned to post 05.01.03, requires at least a high school diploma (bacharelato) together with a leisure-time monitor certificate or similar training in activity management, with higher qualifications related to cultural management also accepted, in addition to a B driving license. The examination consists of three eliminatory exercises, with a maximum of 30 points, and the merits phase contributes up to 10 points:

• Questionnaire of 20 questions (4 reserve) in 25 minutes.
• Oral test of 10 minutes before the examining board, with two questions from a question bank, recorded in audio.
• Written practical case, 90 minutes, with consultation of legal texts.

Deadlines, fees and common procedures

Applications must be submitted through any of the channels provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, preferably at the electronic office of the town council (sarria.sedelectronica.es), where the lists of accepted and excluded candidates and all acts of the process will also be published. The examination fee amounts to 24 euros and must be paid into account ES4320800143363110000018 within the application submission period. The provisional lists of accepted and excluded candidates will be approved within 10 business days from the end of the application period.

The simultaneous call for an ICT profile and a cultural profile strengthens the digitalisation of local administration and the dynamisation of the municipality’s cultural programming. The creation of job pools also broadens the scope of the competitive examinations, allowing for the rapid coverage of temporary posts in the same category without the need for new processes.
