Sarrión approves extraordinary credit of 100,000 euros for municipal works

The Sarrión City Council has definitively approved the credit modification file 04/2026, in the form of an extraordinary credit, for a total amount of 100,000 euros, financed from the Treasury Surplus for General Expenses. The agreement, adopted by the Plenary in the session of June 23, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 164, dated August 28, 2026, under the reference No. 2026-2532.

A credit financed with surplus

The file was initially approved by the Plenary on June 23, 2026 and, as no objections were presented during the public exhibition process, it was elevated to definitive status. The publication is carried out in compliance with article 169.1, by referral of 179.4, of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.

The financing is structured through the expansion of the revenue forecast charged to the Treasury Surplus for General Expenses (RTGG), which allows for new investments without resorting to debt.

Destination of funds

The extraordinary credit is distributed among three actions to improve the heritage and public spaces of the municipality:

• Restoration of the El Cubillo Fountain and trough (program 1522, economic 61905): 50,000.00 euros.
• El Loreto Park (program 1710, economic 61909): 25,000.00 euros.
• Improvements on Zariche Street (program 1532, economic 61910): 25,000.00 euros.

The total incorporation of credit surpluses amounts to 100,000.00 euros, which is allocated entirely to these three interventions.

Impact for residents

The restoration of the El Cubillo Fountain and its trough, along with the upgrading of El Loreto Park and the improvements on Zariche Street, represent a significant investment in the quality of life for the residents of Sarrión. By being financed with the treasury surplus, the municipality undertakes these works without increasing the tax burden or resorting to external credit, which reinforces the sustainability of the municipal accounts. The agreement, signed by Mayor Estefanía Doñate Adán, may be appealed through contentious-administrative channels before the High Court of Justice of Aragon within a period of two months.
