The Santomera City Council has announced competitive grants for the 2026 Educational Action, with a total budget of 11,000 euros. The call, approved by the Local Government Board on July 24, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) number 206, dated September 7, 2026, in section IV of Local Administration.
The announcement, identified by number 4274 and reference NPE: A-070926-4274, is disseminated as an extract in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17. The full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database (BDNS), with identifier 927737, and on the municipal website.
Purpose and beneficiaries
The call regulates the procedure for the evaluation and granting of aid for Educational Action, framed within strategic line 2 (Education) of the 2024-2026 Strategic Grants Plan. It is governed by the Regulatory Ordinance for competitive grants for Educational Action, approved by the Plenary on April 25, 2022, and published in the BORM on July 11, 2022, as well as by the General Ordinance for Grants and Prizes of April 25, 2024.
The following may participate:
- Parents’ Associations (AMPA) of students from public and subsidized early childhood, primary, and secondary education centers, and from municipal nursery schools, with a scope of action within the municipality.
- Students enrolled during the 2025/2026 academic year in a student exchange and mobility program, or who have pursued undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a foreign university.
- Non-profit entities and natural persons who meet the requirements of the call.
Amounts and financing
The grants are financed from the 2026 budget, budgetary application 006.326.480.00 Educational Action, for a total amount of 11,000 euros:
- 8,000 euros for the AMPAs of public and subsidized centers and municipal nursery schools.
- 3,000 euros for students in exchange and mobility programs or studies at a foreign university.
If the applications for the mobility program exceed the assigned amount, the funds will be prorated among those submitted. In any case, the amount granted may not exceed the amount requested nor the total execution cost of the activity.
Deadline and submission
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the extract in the BORM. Applications, addressed to the Mayor’s Office-Presidency, shall be submitted at the General Registry of the City Council, at Plaza Borreguero Artes, from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday, or at any registry provided for in Law 39/2015.
The required documentation includes, for the AMPAs (Parents’ Associations), the application (Annex I), the activity project (Annex II), responsible declarations, certificates from the AEAT (Tax Agency) and Social Security, and a third-party form. For mobility students, the application, a certificate from the foreign university accrediting student status and duration of stay, ID (DNI), and a responsible declaration are required. The agreement bears the signature of the Mayor-President, Víctor Manuel Martínez Muñoz, dated in Santomera on September 3, 2026.
Impact
The call for applications reinforces municipal support for Santomera’s educational community, both for the parents’ associations that promote complementary and extracurricular activities and for students expanding their training abroad. With a balanced distribution between both groups, the City Council consolidates Educational Action as one of its strategic subsidy lines for the 2024-2026 period.
