Por FactBox Admin

The Santomera City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia the call for grants under a competitive bidding process for the 2026 Educational Action, with a budget of 11,000 euros. The decision was adopted by the Local Government Board on July 24, 2026, and appears in issue number 206 of the BORM, dated September 7, 2026, with official reference NPE: A-070926-4274.

The call, an extract of which is disseminated through the National Grants Database (identifier BDNS 927737), regulates the procedure for the evaluation and awarding of aid destined for educational action in the municipality. The full text can be consulted on the municipal website (santomera.es) and in the council’s electronic office.

Beneficiaries and amounts

The grants are financed from the 2026 budget, through the budgetary application 006.326.480.00 Educational Action, and are divided into two lines:

  • Parents’ Associations of students from public and subsidized early childhood, primary, and secondary education centers, as well as from municipal nursery schools: 8,000 euros.
  • Students enrolled during the 2025/2026 academic year in an exchange and student mobility program, or who have pursued undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a foreign university: 3,000 euros.

If the mobility applications exceed the available amount, the funds will be prorated among the applicants. In no case may the granted amount exceed the requested amount or the total cost of the activity.

Requirements and regulatory framework

Non-profit entities and public utility associations, as well as natural persons, may participate provided they meet the required requirements. These include not being involved in grant repayment proceedings, not falling under the prohibition scenarios of Article 13 of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, and being up to date with tax obligations and Social Security. Parents’ associations must also be registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations.

The call is governed by the Regulatory Ordinance of the bases for the granting of grants under a competitive bidding process for Educational Action, approved by the Plenary on April 25, 2022, and published in the BORM on July 11, 2022, as well as by the General Ordinance of Grants and Prizes of April 25, 2024. This line is part of the Strategic Grants Plan 2024-2026, under its strategic line 2, corresponding to Education.

Deadline and submission of applications

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the summary in the BORM. Applications, addressed to the Mayor’s Office-Presidency, may be submitted at the General Registry of the City Council, at Plaza Borreguero Artes, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday, or at any registry provided for in Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure.

The required documentation varies by line:

  • For extracurricular and complementary activities: application, detailed project, ID (DNI) of the representative, Tax ID (CIF) of the entity, responsible declaration, certificate from the board of directors, certificates from the AEAT and Social Security, and a third-party data form.
  • For student mobility: application, certificate from the foreign university accrediting student status and the duration of the stay, ID (DNI), responsible declaration, and certification of bank details.

The call was signed on September 3, 2026, by the mayor-president, Víctor Manuel Martínez Muñoz.

Impact for the municipality

This call reinforces municipal support for the educational community of Santomera, both for the associations that organize complementary activities in the centers and for the students who expand their training abroad. With a budget of 11,000 euros, the council consolidates a stable line of aid which, framed within its strategic plan, seeks to guarantee equal educational opportunities and promote the international mobility of the municipality’s students.
