Santiago approves the selection process for an Environmental Technician

The City Council of Santiago de Compostela has declared the selection process approved for the filling of one career civil servant position as Environmental Technician, from the Special Administration scale, subgroup A1. The decision was made by the councillor delegated for Economy and Finance, Personnel, Contracting and Modernization of Local Administration, Manuel César Vila, through Resolution number 2026/11052, issued on September 22, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña on Monday, September 28, 2026, number 185, in the Local Administration section, with the official reference 2026/6191.

The text signed in Santiago de Compostela on September 22, 2026, contains three pronouncements: declaring the applicant approved, ordering the publication of the resolution, and opening the period to present the supporting documentation. Appeals against the resolution

By exhausting the administrative route, the resolution opens two possibilities for challenge:

• Appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición) before the municipal body that issued the act, within a period of one month from the day following that on which the notification takes effect, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 26.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Santiago de Compostela, within a period of two months if the rejection of the appeal for reversal is express, or six months if it is presumed, according to article 46 of Law 29/1988, of July 13.

The filing of an appeal for reversal prevents recourse to the contentious-administrative route until it is resolved expressly or presumptively.
