Por FactBox Admin

The Santander City Council has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants for the selection process to permanently fill eighteen Administrative Assistant positions, according to the resolution adopted by the Department of Human Resources, Quality, and Heritage and published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 170, dated September 3, 2026. The call affects hundreds of applicants, with 992 admitted in the open category and 92 in the category reserved for people with disabilities.
The resolution, signed in Santander on August 27, 2026, by the delegated councilor Daniel Portilla Fariña, is issued using the powers delegated by the Agreement of the Local Government Board of June 22, 2023. The positions belong to the General Administration scale, Assistant subscale, Group C, Subgroup C2, and are called via a competitive examination system, with twelve positions in the open category and six in the category reserved for people with disabilities, according to the call published in the Official State Gazette no. 126, dated May 23, 2026.
Distribution of the lists
The process is structured into two distinct categories, each with its own list of admitted and excluded applicants:
- Open category: 992 admitted applicants and 97 excluded.
- Disability category: 92 admitted applicants and 11 excluded.
- Total positions: 18, of which 12 correspond to the open category and 6 to the reserved category.
Causes for exclusion
The bulletin details the reasons that led to the provisional exclusion of the applicants, which may be rectified within the enabled period:
- Failure to provide the application in the official model or failure to sign it.
- Failure to provide the ID (DNI) or presenting it incomplete.
- Failure to prove payment of examination fees or unemployment status according to the third basis.
- Submission after the deadline.
- Failure to prove disability.
Rectification period
Applicants who were excluded or not included in any of the lists have a period of ten days, counting from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of Cantabria, to rectify, where possible, the errors or defects that led to their lack of admission. In particular, those who were excluded for failing to justify total unemployment status may provide certificates from the Public Employment Service proving said status throughout the entire application submission period, between May 24 and June 12, both inclusive.
The publication of this resolution will be decisive for the deadlines regarding possible challenges or appeals; therefore, interested parties must carefully review their status on the lists before the rectification period expires.
