Santander appoints tribunal and sets the exam for 18 Assistant positions

The Santander City Council has appointed the qualifying board and set the date for the first exercise of the competitive examination to permanently fill eighteen (18) Administrative Assistant positions. The call for applicants is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 198, dated October 15, 2026, with the official reference CVE-2026-7992 (page 52774). The exam will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

The selection process and its background

The positions belong to the General Administration scale, Assistant sub-scale, Subgroup C2, and are vacant within the civil servant staff of the Santander City Council. The selection system is a competitive examination.

Composition of the qualifying board

The resolution approves the composition of the board, with the appointment of the following members:

• Secretary (with voice but no vote): titular, Ms. Puerto Sánchez-Calero López; substitute, Ms. María Covadonga Cisneros Ruiz.
• Member (with voice and vote): titular, Mr. Juan Vega-Hazas Porrúa; substitute, Mr. Borja Francisco Gómez Piñero.
• Member (with voice and vote): titular, Ms. Ana Ruiz Fernández; substitute, Ms. Begoña Díez Andreu.
• Member (with voice and vote): titular, Ms. María Luisa Gómez Abando; substitute, Ms. Celia Ramos Allende.
• Member (with voice and vote): titular, Mr. Miguel Ángel Madrazo de la Concha; substitute, Mr. José Ángel Hernández Ortiz.

The body is thus composed of one secretary and four titular members, each with their corresponding substitute.

Date, location, and notices to applicants

The first exercise will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at two campuses of the University of Cantabria located on Avenida de Los Castros:

• Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences.
• Faculty of Law.

The distribution of applicants by faculty and classroom will be published in the days prior to the test on the municipal Notice Board and on the City Council website, at the address enabled for the 2026 Administrative Assistant process.
