Sant Cebrià de Vallalta provisionally approves the tax ordinances for 2027

The ordinary Plenary of the Sant Cebrià de Vallalta City Council, meeting on October 8, 2026, provisionally approved the modification of two tax ordinances that will govern the 2027 fiscal year and subsequent years. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona on October 16, 2026, with the official reference CVE 202610153134 on page 1-1, and opens a thirty-day period for interested parties to submit claims.

The approved agreements affect two municipal taxes and include, in both cases, the recast text of the ordinance:

• Tax Ordinance number 3, regulating the tax on constructions, installations, and works, which shall govern for the 2027 fiscal year and subsequent years, with its recast text (ANNEX I).
• Tax Ordinance number 10, regulating the fee for the provision of the municipal waste management service, which shall govern for the 2027 fiscal year and subsequent years, with its recast text (ANNEX II).

The publication is made in compliance with Article 17.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which establishes the procedure for the approval and modification of tax ordinances for local entities.

Thirty days to examine the file and file objections

The announcement calls for a period of thirty days, counted from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona, so that interested parties may examine the file and present any claims they deem appropriate. During this period, the file will be available to any interested party at the municipal offices.

Likewise, the documentation can be consulted at the electronic headquarters of the Sant Cebrià de Vallalta City Council, at the address santcebriadevallalta.eadministracio.cat, where the authenticity of the electronically signed document can also be verified.

Effects of the provisional approval

If the public exhibition period passes without any claims being submitted, the adopted agreements will remain definitively approved and the provisional agreement will become final, without the need for any new vote by the Plenary.

Impact on the municipality’s taxpayers

The modification of ordinance number 10 is the one with the broader scope, as the municipal waste management fee affects virtually all households and economic activities within the municipal district. The revision of ordinance number 3, on the other hand, affects any person or company promoting works, installations, or constructions in the municipality.

Both modifications are part of the annual review cycle of tax ordinances that city councils must finalize before the start of the fiscal year, so the final agreements and consolidated texts will be published once the public information process has been completed.

Residents and businesses in Sant Cebrià de Vallalta have until mid-November to consult the file and, if they deem it appropriate, submit allegations that could modify the text before it becomes final. Once this deadline passes without claims, the new ordinances will enter into force for the 2027 fiscal year and will determine the quotas that taxpayers will have to pay next year.
