Against the order, which ends the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed within two months before the competent court. Optionally and previously, an administrative appeal for reversal may be presented before the governing body within one month.
Background in the same health area
This is not the first call for management positions in the Vigo Health Area this year. The Order of August 4, 2026, published in DOG no. 152, of August 13, called for the free designation of two positions: Director of Economic Resources and Deputy Director of the Economic Resources Area.
That call was resolved through the Order of September 8, 2026, disseminated in DOG no. 178, of September 18, with the selection and appointment of Ernesto Tapia García as Director of Economic Resources and María Cristina Martín Fragueiro as Deputy Director of the Economic Resources Area.
The new call directly affects healthcare professionals aspiring to clinical management responsibilities and Sergas personnel interested in promotion. The filling of the Primary Care Directorate of Vigo will determine the healthcare orientation of one of the health areas with the highest volume in Galicia, therefore the finally selected profile will have a direct impact on the organization of health centers and the care provided to the citizens of the region.
