Sanidad publica las subvenciones nominadas del tercer trimestre de 2026

The Regional Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has made public the list of nominated grants awarded in the third quarter of 2026, with two beneficiary entities and a combined amount of 133,000 euros. The list is formalized in the announcement of October 2, 2026, signed by the Minister Esther María Monzón Monzón, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (Boletín Oficial de Canarias) no. 208, of October 19, 2026 (announcement 3594, section V, Other announcements, pages 37501-37502).

The announcement is issued in compliance with article 31.c) of Law 12/2014, of December 26, on transparency and access to public information, which requires the publication of nominated grants. The aid is provided for in Law 9/2025, of December 23, on the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for 2026 (BOC no. 256, of December 29, 2025), and was processed by the General Secretariat of the Canary Health Service charged to the budget applications listed in the annex.

These are nominated grants, meaning they are assigned directly to a beneficiary identified in the budget law and not through competitive bidding. The annex of the announcement organizes the information into four fields: beneficiary, objective or purpose, amount in euros, and budget program.

The two beneficiaries of the quarter

The “Third Quarter 2026” annex includes only two entities, both linked to the health sector and the care of specific groups:

  • Majorera Association for Mental Health (ASOMASAMEN): 103,000 euros for the “Insular Project for the promotion of personal autonomy, psychosocial recovery in mental health, and strengthening of the entity”.
  • Official College of Nursing of Santa Cruz de Tenerife: 30,000 euros for the “Civil Liability Insurance” project, year 2026.

The largest allocation therefore corresponds to the Majorera mental health entity, which accounts for 77.4% of the total amount published this quarter.

Budget files

Each grant is attributed to a specific application of the regional budgets, allowing its placement within the health expenditure programs to be traced:

  • ASOMASAMEN: application 3918.312C.4800200.394G2520.
  • Official College of Nursing of Santa Cruz de Tenerife: application 3918.311A.4800100.394G0279.

Both appear under heading 3918, corresponding to the Canary Health Service, although they are distinguished by program: the first is linked to program 312C and the second to 311A.

Quarterly publication and control

The publication is carried out on a quarterly basis and refers exclusively to the grants awarded between July 1 and September 30, 2026. The announcement does not include multi-year amounts or commitments for subsequent fiscal years, and is limited to the aid effectively granted during that period.

The document is signed in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on October 2, 2026, by the Minister of Health, Esther María Monzón Monzón, and does not include modifications, waivers, or reimbursements.

Impact for the healthcare third sector

The publication confirms the regional government’s support for two very different lines of work: psychosocial support for people with mental health problems in Fuerteventura, through ASOMASAMEN, and civil liability coverage for the nursing collective in the province of Tenerife. For healthcare third sector entities, the announcement also serves as a verifiable record of the amounts and budgetary allocations supporting their projects during 2026, information that is useful for justifying their activity to other administrations and funders.
