Sanidad nombra personal estatutario fijo para plazas de difícil cobertura

The Department of Health has agreed upon the appointment as permanent statutory personnel, specifying the chosen destination and definitive status, of the individuals approved in the merit competition to fill health science specialist positions declared as difficult to cover in the Valencian Health System. The resolutions, signed on September 10, 2026, by the General Directorate of Personnel, are published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) no. 10453, of September 17, 2026, in section II (Authorities and Personnel), section B) Appointments and dismissals. The period for taking office is one month and begins on September 21, 2026.

The reference call is the merit competition published in DOGV 10251, of December 1, 2025, and the resolutions are issued under the protection of its base 15 and article 18 of Decree 22/2025, of February 11, of the Consell, which approves the organic and functional Regulations of the Department of Health. The provisional allocation of positions was previously published (resolutions of July 1 and 14, 2026), and the allegations and waivers submitted prior to the appointment were resolved. The acts bear the signature of María Amparo Pinazo Gamir, Director General of Personnel.

Seven specialties and over a hundred appointments

Today’s DOGV publishes seven appointment resolutions, one per category and specialty:

  • Specialist Physician in Radiodiagnosis (reference DOGV-C-2026-29321), with 25 people appointed.
  • Specialist Nurse in Mental Health (DOGV-C-2026-29329), with 40 people appointed.
  • Specialist Physician in Medical-Surgical Dermatology and Venereology (DOGV-C-2026-29344), with 11 people appointed.
  • Specialist Physician in Urology (DOGV-C-2026-29326), with 10 people appointed.
  • Specialist Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (DOGV-C-2026-29301), with 10 people appointed.
  • Specialist Physician in Hematology and Hemotherapy (DOGV-C-2026-29332), with 10 people appointed.
  • Specialist Physician in Neurology (DOGV-C-2026-29341), with 9 people appointed.

Altogether, the resolutions assign definitive destinations to over a hundred health professionals, including reserve lists.

Destinations in departments of Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia

The destinations are distributed among health departments and hospital centers across the three provinces:

  • Orihuela Health Department: Vega Baja Hospital of Orihuela and its P.C.
  • Torrevieja Health Department: Torrevieja University Hospital.
  • Elda Health Department: Elda - Virgen de la Salud General University Hospital and its P.C.
  • Dénia Health Department: Dénia Hospital.
  • Vinaròs Health Department: Vinaròs Regional Hospital.
  • Xàtiva-Ontinyent Health Department: Ontinyent General Hospital and its P.C.
  • Requena Health Department: Requena General Hospital.

Deadlines, requirements, and waivers

The resolutions establish a common regime for the appointed persons:

  • The assumption of office must be formalized within one month starting on September 21, 2026.
  • Anyone who does not join the assigned center loses the rights derived from the selection process, except in cases of force majeure as determined by the competent personnel body.
  • Service commissions will not be processed until at least three years of active service have elapsed since the assumption of office.
  • At the time of assuming office, original documentation of the requirements must be provided and, in accordance with article 57.1 of Organic Law 8/2021, the negative certification from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders.
  • The resolutions accept waivers outright and declare the loss of rights for excluded persons, detailed in Annex II due to waiver or for not obtaining a position among those effectively requested.
  • An appeal for reversal may be filed against each resolution within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months.

The filling of these positions, declared as difficult to fill, is decisive for care in departments with particularly strained staffing, such as Orihuela, Torrevieja, Elda, Dénia, Vinaròs, Xàtiva-Ontinyent, and Requena. The effective incorporation from the end of September reinforces staffing stability and continuity of care in critical specialties such as Radiodiagnosis, Mental Health, Urology, Neurology, Hematology, Dermatology, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
