Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of Personnel of the Department of Health has agreed upon the appointment as permanent statutory staff of the individuals approved in the selection process to fill specialist physician positions in Medical Oncology declared as difficult to fill within the Valencian Health System. The resolution, signed on September 3, 2026, by the Director General of Personnel, María Amparo Pinazo Gamir, is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana number 10445, dated September 7, 2026, with reference DOGV-C-2026-28206.
The appointment is issued in accordance with clause 15 of the call for the merit-based competition for the provision of these positions, published in the DOGV 10251, dated December 1, 2025, and following the provisional allocation carried out by resolution on July 1, 2026. The assignment of the destination is definitive and falls within the competencies attributed by Article 18 of Decree 22/2025, of February 11, of the Consell, which approves the Organic and Functional Regulations of the Department of Health.
Destinations and appointed persons
Annex I of the resolution lists the specialists who obtain a position with a definitive destination in health departments of the provinces of Alicante and Valencia:
- Vicente Boix Aracil, Marta Llopis Cuquerella, Aranzazu González Vicente, María Elena Iriarte Moncho, and Patricia Martín Tercero, at the Torrevieja University Hospital (Torrevieja Health Department).
- Alejandro Bernal Vidal, José David Cumplido Burón, Almudena Cotes Sanchis, Roberto Morales Giménez, and María del Mar Llorente Ostiategui, at the Elda General University Hospital – Virgen de la Salud (Elda Health Department).
- María Ballester Espinosa and Alejandra Magdaleno Cremades, at the Vega Baja Hospital of Orihuela (Orihuela Health Department).
- María Zapata García, at the Denia Hospital (Denia Health Department).
- Clara García González and Alberto Jacobo Cunquero Tomás, at the Requena General Hospital (Requena Health Department).
- Vicente Palomar Abril, at the Ontinyent General Hospital (Xàtiva-Ontinyent Health Department).
Assumption of office and conditions
The period for taking office shall be one month and will begin on September 15, 2026. Anyone who does not join the assigned center within that period will lose the rights derived from their participation, except in cases of force majeure or impossibility assessed by the competent body.
Once the status of permanent statutory staff is acquired, those appointed may participate in transfer competitions, internal promotion, or vacancy filling once they have accredited three years of permanence in active service at the assigned center. Service commissions will not be processed until at least three years have passed since taking office.
At the time of joining, they must prove the requirements used to pass the process, including, where applicable, the official disability certificate, and present a negative certification from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders in accordance with Organic Law 8/2021.
Withdrawals and exclusions
Annex II lists the persons excluded from the process, indicating the reason:
- Santiago Salvador Noguera Palanca, María del Carmen Ors Castaño, Henry Martín Ore Arce, and Silvia Rubio Novella, due to withdrawal.
- María Rosa Chilet Lloris, Julia Hidalgo Coloma, Francisco Javier García Navalón, and Claudio Darío Ávila Andrade, for not obtaining any position among those effectively requested.
The resolution ends the administrative route, and an appeal for reversal may be filed within one month or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months.
The consolidation of these oncologists as permanent staff in hard-to-fill positions reinforces healthcare stability in oncology across Valencian public hospitals, an area with a chronic deficit of specialists. The final assignment of destination and the required minimum permanence guarantee the continuity of teams in the health departments most in need.
