Health Department appoints permanent specialists in Clinical Laboratory and Anesthesiology

The Department of Health of the Generalitat Valenciana has agreed to the appointment as permanent statutory personnel of specialist physicians in Clinical Laboratory and Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, in execution of a court ruling. The appointments, signed by the Directorate General of Personnel, are published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10441, dated September 1, 2026, and the period for taking office will begin on September 15.

The resolutions, dated August 21, 2026, are issued in execution of a court ruling and modify the final resolution of the merit-based competition for the filling of vacancies, convened by the Resolution of December 21, 2022. The process is part of the exceptional stabilization process through the merit-based competition system provided for in Annexes I and II of Decree 71/2022, of May 27, of the Consell, which implements Law 20/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for the reduction of temporary employment in the public sector, and which was published in DOGV no. 9496 of December 23, 2022.

Two consolidated categories

The first resolution, with official reference DOGV-C-2026-27461, appoints the individuals who passed in the category of specialist physician in Clinical Laboratory for health institutions of the Department of Health. The second, with reference DOGV-C-2026-27462, does the same for specialist physicians in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation. In both cases, the assignment of the chosen destination is definitive.

Previously, the single act for the choice of destination was held, convened via Annex II of the resolutions of the Directorate General of Personnel of July 23 and 24, 2026, published on the Department’s website.

Assigned destinations

The annex of the Clinical Laboratory resolution lists:

• Raúl Gil Orts, assigned to the Hospital Universitario de la Ribera and its specialty center, in Alzira, of the Ribera Health Department (Valencia-East).

The annex of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation lists:

• Mireya Navarro Rioja, assigned to the Hospital Lluís Alcanyís de Xàtiva and its specialty center, of the Xàtiva-Ontinyent Health Department (Valencia-East).

Period for taking office

The period for taking office will be one month and will begin on September 15, 2026. Those who, after this period, have not joined the assigned center will lose the rights derived from their participation in the selection process, following a hearing and by means of a reasoned resolution, except in cases of force majeure or impossibility assessed by the competent body in personnel matters.

In the centers where several vacancies have been offered, these will be filled as the appointed persons join, respecting the order established by the termination criteria regulated in the fourth additional provision of Decree 192/2017, of December 1, of the Consell, which approves the Regulations for the selection and provision of statutory personnel of the Valencian Health System.

With these appointments, the Department of Health consolidates positions from the stabilization process and advances in the reduction of temporary employment in the public health sector, complying with the rulings that ordered the execution of the merit-based competitions. The specialists move to occupy permanent positions within the network of public health institutions of the Valencian Health System.
