Por FactBox Admin

The Department of Health of the Government of Aragon has called for the appointment of seven singularized positions via the free designation system in centers of the Aragonese Health Service: six as nursing unit supervisors in the hospitals of Barbastro and Clínico Universitario “Lozano Blesa” in Zaragoza, and one as head of the IT group at the Alcañiz Hospital. The calls are published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 205, dated October 22, 2026, in section II (Authorities and Personnel, competitive examinations and contests), with official references BOA20261022005 to BOA20261022010.
The six resolutions are based on Chapter III of Title III of Decree 37/2011, of March 8, of the Government of Aragon, regarding the selection of statutory personnel and the filling of vacancies in the centers of the Aragonese Health Service, and on the competence that article 71.1 attributes to the sector managements. The general participation requirements refer to article 30.5 of Law 55/2003, of December 16, of the Framework Statute for statutory personnel of health services, and the submission of applications complies with article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.
Seven destinations between Barbastro, Zaragoza, and Alcañiz
- BOA20261022005: two nursing unit supervisor positions for afternoon-night shifts at the Barbastro Hospital, with a schedule of afternoons, nights, and mornings on weekends and holidays.
- BOA20261022006: one nursing unit supervisor position for Internal Medicine at the Barbastro Hospital, with a morning schedule and coordination of the 5th floor left.
- BOA20261022007: one nursing unit supervisor position for Traumatology and Urology at the Barbastro Hospital, with a morning schedule and coordination of the 4th floor right.
- BOA20261022008: one supervisor position for the joint Neurosurgery and Gynecology unit of the Hospital Clínico Universitario “Lozano Blesa” in Zaragoza.
- BOA20261022009: one supervisor position for the Operating Room nursing unit at the same Zaragoza hospital, with a morning schedule.
- BOA20261022010: one IT Group Head position at the Alcañiz Hospital (Teruel), assigned to the IT Service Head of the Alcañiz Sector.
The five nursing positions have a destination supplement level of 22 and are assigned to the Nursing Directorate of each hospital; the IT head position has level 19 and a morning and/or afternoon schedule. In all cases, the remuneration is that corresponding to the statutory personnel of the called position and the performance is temporary, subject to periodic evaluation, with the causes for termination specified in article 60 of Decree 37/2011.
Who can apply and how they are chosen
Permanent statutory staff, career civil servants, or permanent contractual staff providing services within the scope of the Aragonese Health Service in the category of nurse may participate; in the case of Alcañiz, staff from the C1 and C2 categories of Management and Services. Temporary staff who meet the requirements and are providing services within the organic staff of the convening center are also admitted.
The assessment corresponds to a Selection Commission whose composition will be established in accordance with Article 73 of Decree 37/2011 and will be published on the notice board of the Barbastro Sector, on the singularized positions website of the Aragonese Health Service, or on the Alcañiz Sector intranet, depending on the call. The proposal for the person considered most suitable may only fall to temporary staff if the non-existence of a suitable applicant among the permanent staff is justified.
Fifteen business days and six months for resolution
The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days from the day following the publication of each resolution in the Official Gazette of Aragon, using the model in Annex I addressed to the management of the corresponding sector. The management will issue the final resolution within a maximum period of six months and may declare the position vacant; an administrative appeal may be filed against the call before the General Management of the Aragonese Health Service within one month.
The resolutions are signed by Carmen Tosat Mancho, manager of the Barbastro Sector (also manager of the Huesca Sector by order of June 12, 2026); Luis Miguel Gómez San Martín, manager of the Zaragoza III Sector; and Pedro Manuel Eced Bellido, acting manager of the Alcañiz Sector and manager of the Teruel Sector.
The publication confirms the continuity of the renewal of middle management in Aragonese healthcare: the Zaragoza III Sector had already called for other supervisor positions in August and early October at Lozano Blesa and at the “Inocencio Jiménez” Medical Specialties Center, and on October 2, it resolved the one for the transplant unit. For the nursing and IT staff of the Aragonese Health Service, these six resolutions open seven management positions with a margin of fifteen business days to submit the application.
