Health Ministry opens five positions via free appointment, including a veterinary coordinator

The Regional Ministry of Health of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced the filling, via the free appointment procedure, of five vacant job positions within its Administration. The call, identified as LD Sanidad F3/2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 169, dated September 3, 2026, by resolution of August 27, 2026 (reference 2026/6358).
The measure is adopted in exercise of the competence attributed by Article 20 of Decree 74/2002, of May 14, on the Filling of Job Positions, following authorization from the General Directorate of Budgets, and in accordance with Articles 70 and 71 of Law 4/2011, of March 10, on Public Employment of Castilla-La Mancha. The resolution, which exhausts administrative remedies, is signed by the Secretary General, Inmaculada Gutiérrez Ramírez, by virtue of the delegation of Order 138/2019, of August 8.
The announced positions
The five offered positions are distributed between the provinces of Toledo and Cuenca, with administrative, legal, and health profiles:
- Secretary of the General Secretariat (Toledo), group C2, level 16, with a specific supplement of 12,857.64 euros.
- Head of the Mediation and Arbitration Service (General Directorate of Public Health, Toledo), group A1/A2, level 26, requiring a degree in Law.
- Area Coordinator (code 233, Provincial Delegation of Health, Cuenca), group A1, level 25, reserved for personnel of the Superior Body or the Superior Scale of Local Health Professionals, Veterinary specialty.
- Head of the Public Health Service (Provincial Delegation of Health, Cuenca), group A1, level 26.
- Head of the Planning, Organization, and Inspection Service (Provincial Delegation of Health, Toledo), group A1, level 26.
Veterinary Area Coordinator
The position of Area Coordinator (code 233) is the most unique of the call. Career civil servants of the Regional Government belonging to the Superior Body (General Administration) or the Superior Scale of Local Health Professionals (Veterinary specialty) may apply, provided they hold a Degree in Veterinary Medicine and a class B driver’s license.
Their functions include coordinating the actions of the Official Public Health Services and slaughterhouses, supervising regulations and workloads, managing on-call shifts, vehicle fleets, and fees, and establishing inspection criteria in the Public Health Districts of the province of Cuenca.
Mandatory participation and deadlines
The call introduces a prominent obligation: civil servants serving in provisional assignment or on service commission in any of the positions included in Annex I will be obliged to participate. Those who fail to comply and are displaced will be placed on voluntary leave of absence for private interest, and in the case of service commission, it will be revoked.
- Applications shall be submitted electronically via the electronic office of the Junta (www.jccm.es) within fifteen business days from the date of publication.
- The call will be resolved within a maximum of two months, by resolution of the head of the Department of Health.
- The assigned destination shall be non-waivable and will not generate a right to compensation for relocation or change of residence.
The resolution will be based on the principles of equality, merit, and capacity, and a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Toledo within two months, or an optional appeal for reversal within one month.
