San Vicente de la Barquera designates the spaces for posting electoral campaign posters
Por FactBox Admin

The Zonal Electoral Board of San Vicente de la Barquera has established the locations where parties may place electoral propaganda posters during the campaign for the General Elections of November 29, 2026. The definitive list is published in the extraordinary issue number 27 of the Official Gazette of Cantabria, dated October 21, 2026, with official reference CVE-2026-8240 and the signature of the board’s lawyer and secretary, Itziar Rodríguez Santos. The agreement was adopted in San Vicente de la Barquera on October 19, 2026.
The framework: a closed and mandatory list
The publication fulfills the obligation of the zonal electoral boards to determine the sites reserved for electoral propaganda, so that the placement of posters is limited to the spaces expressly indicated by each city council. The list covers 19 municipalities in western Cantabria and the Liébana region, and includes both existing supports—advertising panels, notice boards, walls, and facades of municipal buildings—as well as urban furniture elements, such as public lighting lampposts.
The document is published on the same day as the definitive list of official premises for free use for campaign events (CVE-2026-8241), also issued by the Zonal Electoral Board of San Vicente de la Barquera, such that both texts jointly organize the campaign infrastructure within the same territorial area.
Panels, squares, and facades in Liébana and the west
The locations are distributed municipality by municipality, with very different solutions depending on the size of each council:
- Peñarrubia: facade of the Linares shelter-hut.
- Potes: panels on San Roque street, on the bridge over the Quiviesa river, and in La Serna square.
- Cillorigo de Liébana: panels on Luis Cuevas avenue.
- Camaleño: parking lots in Camaleño, Los Llanos, Cosgaya, and Espinama.
- San Vicente de la Barquera: Relleno Park, on Miramar avenue, and the Barquera promenade, next to the bus stop.
- Tresviso: facade of the ground floor of the Town Hall.
- Herrerías: panels adjacent to the Town Hall, at Puente El Arrudo.
- Pesaguero: Town Hall parking lot.
- Cabezón de Liébana: facades of the school buildings in all the villages of the municipality, except for the capital.
- Vega de Liébana: old information panels at the entrance to La Vega, at the detour towards Campollo, and the wall opposite the La Viorna bar.
- Polaciones: La Laguna park, old schools in Lombraña, and Pejanda parking lot.
- Lamasón: wall adjacent to the Town Hall and wall adjacent to the Old School of Lafuente.
- Tudanca: boards on the facades of the old schools of La Lastra, Santotís, Sarceda, and Tudanca.
- Rionansa: separation fence of the Market square and the Puentenansa public school, square of the old schools of Celis, and the closing fence of the Moisés Cosío square in Cosío.
- Ruiloba: access to La Casetuca Municipal, in the La Iglesia neighborhood, opposite the Town Hall.
Comillas and Val de San Vicente: the broadest assumptions
Comillas is the municipality with the most extensive forecast, enabling the public lighting lampposts throughout the municipal district for banners and adding eight specific advertising panels: two in the Corro square and one in the Tres Caños square, in the parking lot of Marqués de Comillas street, on the wall of the stairs of the El Espolón building on Antonio López street, in the La Molina neighborhood opposite the santuco, in the La Iglesias neighborhood next to the Ruiseñada church, and in the gardens of the Trasvía school.
Val de San Vicente details up to twenty points in its villages, including the El Cotero neighborhood of Abanillas on the CA-843 road, the Muñorrodero bowling alley, the Serdio children’s park, the CA-843 road at number 3 of Estrada, the Portillo public square on the CA-845, the Luey square, the intersection of the National 621 with the regional CA-841 in Molleda, the Prío square, the sports courts of San Pedro de las Baheras, the pedestrian promenade of El Encinar de Pechón, the Pesués public park, and the Juncal promenade and the Unquera station, in addition to the public squares of the various villages.
In Udías, public roads in all localities of the municipal district and public lighting lampposts are authorized for banners; in Valdáliga, the list is distributed among Caviedes, Labarces, Lamadrid, Roiz, El Tejo, and Treceño, including watering troughs, laundry basins, the artificial insemination center, and the facade of the football field.
Impact for parties and residents
The final list makes these points the only legal supports for electoral posters within the jurisdiction of the Zonal Electoral Board of San Vicente de la Barquera, meaning that the parties running on November 29 must limit their propaganda to the designated panels, facades, and parking lots. For residents, the list anticipates which walls, squares, and urban furniture will be occupied during the campaign and allows them to distinguish authorized propaganda from that which is not.
