San Vicente de la Barquera approves its 2025 public employment offer

The San Vicente de la Barquera City Council has approved its Public Employment Offer for the 2025 fiscal year, which opens three positions for applicants from the region. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Resolution no. 1361/2026, dated September 3, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 175, dated September 10, 2026, with reference CVE-2026-7060 and file 1677/2025.

The offer, signed by the mayor M.ª Rosario Urquiza Rodríguez, is structured into two blocks: one civil servant position and two labor staff positions. The agreement also provides for the insertion of the announcement in the gazette and on the notice board, as well as notification to the union sections present in the council’s General Negotiation Table.

Vacancies announced

The offer distinguishes between civil servants and labor staff, with the following positions:

• Architect (1 position, civil servant): an architecture degree or equivalent, or a university master’s degree that qualifies the holder to practice the profession of architecture is required.
• Sports center janitor (1 position, labor staff): no degree requirement.
• Multi-service operator (1 position, labor staff): no degree requirement.

The two labor staff positions do not require academic qualifications, which expands access to a greater number of candidates from the region.

Regulatory framework and processing

The approval is part of the annual human resources planning of the San Vicente de la Barquera City Council, which determines each year the positions to be filled through the corresponding selection procedures. File 1677/2025 contains the processing of this offer, which is now published for the knowledge of interested parties.

Appeals against the resolution

The following appeals may be filed against the resolution:

• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court, within two months from the day following its notification.
• Optional appeal for reversal before the Mayor’s Office, within one month.

The publication in the Official Gazette of Cantabria provides official publicity to the offer and opens the way for interested applicants to prepare their participation in the selection processes derived from these positions, a relevant opportunity for public employment in the region of the Cantabrian western coast.
