San Sadurniño opens cultural grants of up to 4,000 euros

Por FactBox Admin

The San Sadurniño City Council announces grants for associations and cultural entities for the 2026 financial year, with a maximum amount of 4,000 euros per beneficiary. The decision, signed by Mayor Secundino García Casal on August 27, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 167, dated September 2, 2026, under announcement number 2026/5668.

The call, registered in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 926811, is published in extract in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on grants. The full text can be consulted in the BDNS itself.

Beneficiary entities

Grants may be requested by validly constituted non-profit associations and entities that have their registered office in the municipality, carry out activities of municipal interest, and are registered in the Municipal Registry of Entities. Exceptionally, entities not domiciled in the municipality may also apply when they finance activities of municipal interest, as well as groups of natural or legal persons constituted as non-profit under the terms of article 8 of Law 9/2007, of June 13, on grants in Galicia.

The following are excluded from the call:

  • Entities that are not up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations.
  • Those with any grant awarded by the City Council pending justification.
  • Entities with an economic agreement signed with the City Council.
  • Activities of a confessional nature, festivals, and leisure trips without a cultural character.

Two funding lines

The call establishes two eligible lines. Line 1 covers specific or annual cultural activities, such as celebrations, tributes, exhibitions, publications, contests, competitions, showcases, musical events, meetings, conferences, and studies; in general, any action for the conservation, promotion, and dissemination of Galician cultural values.

Eligible expenses in this line are:

  • Personnel costs for the direction, coordination, and monitoring of activities.
  • Consumable materials (maximum 25% of the total admitted budget).
  • Maintenance and accommodation in exchanges of folkloric or artistic groups.
  • Didactic material, rental of elements (stages, tents, platforms, amplification, lighting), hiring of artists, advertising, insurance, transport for cultural trips, and data protection.

Line 2 finances maintenance costs, improvement of facilities, and cultural equipment for entities that have premises in ownership or under a rental regime. The aid must be applied to expenses directly related to the premises, both current (electricity, water, heating, gas, cleaning materials) and for maintenance or improvement (renovations, expansions, property equipment).

Amount and compatibility

The amount of the grant will depend on the cost of the programs, the scoring criteria, and the available resources, with a maximum amount of 4,000 euros per beneficiary for Line 1. The grants are compatible with others from any source for the same purpose, although in no case may the sum exceed the total cost of the activity, and the approved grant may be revised once the complementary financing from other entities is known.

The call represents direct support for the cultural associative fabric of San Sadurniño, which may finance both the programming of activities and the maintenance of its premises, in a municipality where local entities are the main engine for the dissemination of Galician culture.
