San Roque reopens the application period for vacant grassroots sports schools
Por FactBox Admin

The San Roque City Council has reopened the application period for the awarding of the Grassroots Sports Schools for judo, rugby, and futsal, after the three modalities remained vacant in the first call. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 190, dated October 1, 2026, in the announcement with reference no. 313,358 and file SEC.- 978/2026. Interested clubs will have 30 calendar days from the day following the publication to submit their proposals.
The announcement, signed by the general secretary Ana Núñez de Cossío on September 20, 2026, certifies that, “having ended the application period for the awarding of the Grassroots Sports Schools for the 2026-2027 season and the granting of subsidies for their development,” the judo, rugby, and futsal schools remained vacant. The procedure is governed by the regulatory bases of the Sports Delegation of the San Roque City Council, published in the BOP of Cádiz no. 122, dated June 29, 2026 (announcement no. 187,578, code BDNS 913900).
A new period of 30 calendar days
The period will be 30 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP of Cádiz, on the notice board, and on the transparency portal of the Illustrious San Roque City Council. With the publication of the gazette on October 1, 2026, the count begins on October 2 and extends until the end of the month.
The call is aimed at clubs that wish to assume the management of the municipal grassroots schools during the 2026/2027 season, with the corresponding granting of subsidies for their development.
Affected modalities
The three modalities that remained unawarded and are being tendered again are:
- Judo.
- Rugby.
- Futsal.
The published text expressly refers to the regulatory bases to learn about the participation requirements, the required documentation, and the economic conditions of the subsidies associated with each school.
Processing and background
File SEC.- 978/2026 is being processed at the San Roque City Council, and its publication in the provincial gazette formally opens the new competition phase. The first call, supported by the bases of June 29, 2026, received no proposals for any of the three modalities, which forced the procedure to be restarted.
Interested clubs must follow the provisions of those regulatory bases and submit their applications within the indicated period, as the announcement does not establish a different regime from the original call. The announcement is disseminated simultaneously in the provincial gazette, the notice board, and the municipal transparency portal.
Impact on grassroots sports
The reopening provides a second opportunity for local clubs to take charge of grassroots sports in judo, rugby, and futsal—disciplines that would otherwise be left without a municipal school for the 2026/2027 season. The continuity of these schools now depends on whether the sports entities respond to the new call before the 30-calendar-day deadline expires.
