San Leonardo will pave five streets with 75,837 euros from the Cohesion Fund

The Town Council of San Leonardo de Yagüe has initially approved the execution project for the asphalt paving works of five streets in the urban area, with a contract execution budget of €75,837.49. The agreement was adopted by Mayoral Decree 344/2026, of 10 August 2026, and the notice is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 94, of 14 August 2026, page 2796, under the Local Administration section.

The project, drafted on 5 August 2026, is covered by the Territorial Cohesion Fund 2026 of the Junta de Castilla y León, the regional programme aimed at co-financing municipal investments that improve basic services in villages. The total cost is shared between the regional administration and the municipal budget:

• Junta de Castilla y León: €56,878.12
• Town Council of San Leonardo de Yagüe: €18,959.37

The five streets in the project

The intervention, called “Asphalt paving, Streets: Infantes de Lara, Majada de San Pedro, Gerardo Diego, Laguna Negra and San Cristóbal, San Leonardo de Yagüe (Soria)”, will renew the road surface of five streets in the Sorian municipality:

• Infantes de Lara
• Majada de San Pedro
• Gerardo Diego
• Laguna Negra
• San Cristóbal

This is a direct improvement of the municipal road network that affects streets in different parts of the urban area and will benefit all residents who travel or live on them, both by vehicle and on foot.

Objections and final approval

The notice is made public so that legitimate interested parties may submit objections or claims within a period of 15 calendar days from the date of publication in the official gazette. If no claims are filed, the file will be deemed finally approved, without the need for a new municipal resolution.

The document is signed in San Leonardo de Yagüe on 10 August 2026 by the mayor, Jesús Elvira Martín.

An investment that improves daily life

The renovation of the asphalt on these five streets will bring a perceptible improvement in the safety and convenience of road and pedestrian traffic, as well as an update of the municipality’s urban maintenance. Regional co-financing allows the work to be undertaken with limited effort from the municipal coffers, within the framework of the policy of the Junta de Castilla y León to support local investments through the Territorial Cohesion Fund.
