San Fernando announces 100,000 euros in cultural grants

The San Fernando City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz (number 165, dated August 27, 2026) the extract of the Mayoral resolution, dated August 13, 2026, calling for grants intended for individuals, entities, and associations that carry out cultural promotion work in the municipality during the 2026 financial year. The call is processed under a competitive bidding regime and is endowed with a total credit of 100,000.00 euros.

The announcement, identified by number 277,954 and code BDNS 925149, is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17. Beneficiaries and object

Individuals who carry out professional activities in the field of culture and are registered in the Census of Entrepreneurs, Professionals, and Withholding Agents of the State Tax Administration Agency, as well as non-profit associations and entities registered in the Registry of Associations of the Junta de Andalucía, may apply, provided they carry out or intend to carry out a cultural activity of interest to San Fernando.

The object of the bases is to provide support to those who develop cultural projects and contribute to the promotion, dissemination, research, conservation, and revitalization of culture in the municipality. Activities carried out between November 1, 2025, and October 30, 2026, will be eligible for subsidies.

Amount and financing

The call is financed through the budgetary application 40/334/480 “Island Cultural Entities Promotion Plan”, with a maximum total amount of 100,000.00 euros for the 2026 financial year. The maximum individual amount that each beneficiary may receive will be ten percent (10%) of the total credit of the call.

The grants will be compatible with the receipt of other aid from any public or private administrations or entities, national or international, for the same purpose, with two exceptions:

• Grants from the San Fernando City Council of a nominative nature for the same purpose.
• Grants of the same nature that could generate excess funding, in which case the amount of the municipal grant will be reduced to the corresponding limit.

Deadline and method of submission

Interested persons and entities must submit their application and the required documentation exclusively by electronic means through the Electronic Office of the San Fernando City Council, within a period of ten (10) business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz, via the National Grants Database.

The application shall be formalized using the standardized form (Annex I) available on the office’s website, and must be accompanied by the documentation regarding the content of the project, which will be evaluated by the Evaluation Commission, and must be submitted using the mandatory standardized forms.

Relevance for the cultural sector

The call represents a direct opportunity for local associations, entities, and creators of the Island, who may finance cultural promotion and revitalization projects from a municipal fund of 100,000 euros. The short deadline of ten business days and the exclusively electronic processing require interested parties to prepare the documentation and standardized forms in advance to avoid losing the opportunity to apply for the aid.
