San Carlos relaunches Omalizumab tender for 4.2 million

The “San Carlos” Clinical Hospital of Madrid has published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid the modification of the tender for the supply contract of subcutaneous Omalizumab for its Pharmacy Service, an essential drug in the treatment of patients with severe asthma. The resolution, signed on August 8, 2026, by the center’s Managing Director, César Adolfo Gómez Derch, is included in issue number 197 of the gazette, dated August 19, 2026, pages 63 and 64.
The contract, processed via an open procedure under file AMPA 2026-0-035 (A/SUM-033245/2026), has an estimated value of 4,218,368.00 euros and will be awarded based on a plurality of criteria. The tender is carried out under the ordinary processing regime and allows for extensions of up to 24 months, with a maximum duration of 36 months from the formalization of the contract.
Object and scope of supply
The object of the contract is the supply of subcutaneous Omalizumab for the hospital’s Pharmacy Service, with an execution period of 12 months. The place of execution is the center itself, located at calle Prof. Martín Lagos, s/n, Madrid (28040).

- CPV: 33600000 (pharmaceutical products).
- Base tender budget: 1,318,240.00 euros taxable base, 52,729.60 euros VAT, and 1,370,969.60 euros in total.
- Definitive guarantee: yes, 5% of the base contract amount, excluding VAT.
Submission of bids and calendar
Bids must be submitted exclusively electronically through the hospital’s public procurement platform, at the address enabled in the contracting profile of the Community of Madrid. Variants are not permitted.
- Submission deadline: until 23:59 hours on August 28, 2026.
- Opening of economic proposals: September 9, 2026, at 09:00 hours, in the Contracting Board Room, non-public.
- Date of announcement submission to the Official Journal of the European Union: August 7, 2026.
Solvency and participation conditions
Bidders must prove their economic and financial solvency in accordance with article 87.1.a) and 87.1.c) of the LCSP, and their technical or professional solvency according to article 90.1.a), as detailed in the Characteristics Table of the PCAP. The specifications are available freely and gratuitamente on the Public Procurement Portal of the Community of Madrid. Advertising costs, estimated at approximately 3,000 euros, will be borne by the successful bidder.
The relaunch of this tender guarantees the continuity of the supply of a key biological drug for patients with severe asthma treated at one of the region’s reference hospitals, ensuring the supply of the Pharmacy Service for the coming years.
