San Bartolomé de Tirajana calls for temporary employment pools for PFAE

The Illustrious City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has approved the call and the specific guidelines for the creation of a temporary public employment pool across several categories, intended for the appointment of interim civil service personnel for the development of the Alternating Employment Training Programs (PFAE). The call is processed via open competition and through a merit-based system, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 100, dated August 21, 2026, under registration number 1740130 (page 14910).

The process is framed within the need to guarantee personnel coverage for current and future PFAE. According to the case background, existing pools were intended for specific programs; therefore, it is necessary to create new generic pools that address both programs currently in execution and those that may be developed in the future. The initiation of the case was agreed upon via Order of August 13, 2026, by the Delegated Councilor for the Area of Presidency, Human Resources, Culture, Youth, Equality, and Education, and the resolution was signed in San Bartolomé de Tirajana on August 18, 2026.

Called Categories

The pool is structured into several professional categories, each with its required qualification group and subgroup:

• Director (group A/A1): degree in Law.
• Coordinator (group A/A1): degree in Pedagogy, Psychology, and Psychopedagogy.
• Teacher (Sports Specialty) (A/A1): degree in Sports Sciences.
• Teacher (Biology, Pharmacy, Veterinary Specialty) (A/A1).
• Teacher (Modern Languages Specialty) (A/A1): degree in Translation and Interpretation or Modern Languages.
• Teacher (Nursing Specialty) (A/A2): diploma or degree in Nursing.
• Teacher (Agricultural Professional Branch and Gardening Professional Area) (C/C1).
• Teacher (Restaurant Area Specialty) (C/C1).

Teaching personnel must provide, along with the required qualification, the Professional Certificate in vocational training teaching for employment.

Deadlines, Fees, and Submission

Applications shall be submitted exclusively electronically, through the general request form available on the City Council’s electronic office (https://sede.maspalomas.com), in accordance with article 66.6 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure.

• The deadline for submitting requests will be twenty (20) business days, counted from the day following the publication of the guidelines in the gazette.
• The examination fee will be 60 euros for groups A/A1 and A/A2, and 30 euros for group C/C1, with a 50% reduction where applicable.
• Merits will be assessed by competition and must be accredited within the application submission period.

Regulatory Framework

The constitution and operation of the reserve lists are governed by the Reserve List Regulations of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 19, dated February 13, 2026. Furthermore, the selection process complies with the General Bases approved by the Plenary session on December 28, 2023, and published in bulletin number 24, dated February 23, 2024, guaranteeing the principles of equality, merit, capacity, and publicity in access to public employment.
