San Bartolomé de Tirajana opens public information period regarding the modification of the PGOU in Salobre Bajo

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has opened a public information period of forty-five business days regarding the initial approval of the Minor Modification of the General Urban Development Plan for the rural settlement of Salobre Bajo. The agreement was adopted by the City Council Plenary in an ordinary session held on July 2, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (Boletín Oficial de Canarias) no. 188, dated September 18, 2026, on page 34883. The file, processed under Planning number 2765/2024, responds to the initiative of the Association Platform of Affected Persons of El Salobre, Lomo los Azules and Surrounding Areas.

The announcement, dated August 3, 2026, submits the complete file, including all graphic and written documentation, to the public information process, in accordance with the provisions of articles 164 and 165 of Law 4/2017, of July 13, on Land and Protected Natural Spaces of the Canary Islands. The same resolution activates the consultation process with the various administrations involved.

This is a minor modification of the general planning currently in force in the municipality, limited to the rural settlement of Salobre Bajo, on the island of Gran Canaria. The process stems from a neighborhood initiative: the platform of affected persons of El Salobre, Lomo los Azules and surrounding areas, which brings together owners and residents of the environment.

Deadline and submission of allegations

• Forty-five business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands.
• During this period, any allegations, claims, or observations deemed appropriate may be submitted in writing to the general registry of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council.
• The calculation applies equally to the consultation process of the different administrations.

Consultation of the file

The complete file may be examined, throughout the entire public information period, on the municipal website www.maspalomas.com, in the notice board-public exhibition section. The documentation includes both the written contents and the graphics of the proposed modification.

Issuing body and signature

The announcement is signed by the Councilor for the Government Area of Urbanism, Heritage, Patrimonial Responsibility and Housing, Alejandro Iván Marichal Ramos, by virtue of Decree no. 3266, of June 21, 2023. The resolution is framed within section V of announcements, within the block of other announcements of the Local Administration of the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands.

The opening of this procedure provides owners, neighbors, and community groups in the Salobre Bajo area with the opportunity to formally intervene in the definition of the planning that affects them. The period of forty-five business days makes the municipal registry and the electronic notice board the practical means to consult the file and submit allegations before the modification continues its processing.
