Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of San Bartolomé de Lanzarote has opened the call for grants to promote the rehabilitation of private housing in the municipality, with a budget of 323,793.18 euros. The call was approved by Mayor’s Office Decree No. 6624/2026, dated November 3, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 133, Friday, November 6, 2026 (announcement 3.019, reference 2.252.861, BDNS 939709). Interested parties have two months to submit their application.
Regulatory Framework and Purpose
The call is processed under a competitive bidding regime and is governed by the “General Regulatory Bases for Grants destined for the Promotion and Rehabilitation of Private Housing in the municipality of San Bartolomé for the 2024-25 fiscal years,” approved in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 121, dated October 9, 2026 (announcement 3.256), within the framework of the ICAVI Agreement for the 2024 fiscal year.
The stated objective is to rehabilitate or adapt privately owned homes to minimum habitability conditions, energy consumption savings, and the correction of structural elements, in addition to the works necessary for their proper maintenance. Funding is provided by application 15.150.78001, “General Administration of Housing and Urbanism. To families and non-profit institutions,” of the 2026 municipal budget.
Eligible activities include:
- Rehabilitation works in detached houses or inside homes within buildings.
- Works aimed at fighting energy poverty in detached single-family homes or terraced houses.
- Specific actions regarding accessibility and the modernization of existing installations, according to base 4 of the regulatory bases.
Amounts: up to 5,000 euros per home
Eligible beneficiaries may be adults who are owners, co-owners, usufructuaries, or heirs of a home that constitutes their habitual and permanent residence in San Bartolomé, provided they meet the requirements of base 5 and provide the documentation required by base 11 of the regulatory bases.
- A grant of 50% of the eligible cost of each action, with a maximum of 5,000.00 euros per home.
- Up to 100% of the cost, not exceeding 5,000.00 euros, when the household consists of a vulnerable group.
- In actions against energy poverty, the fees of the project technician are subsidized at 100%, up to 750.00 euros, and the energy efficiency certificate up to 250.00 euros, separate from other concepts.
The granting of the aid is subject to budget availability and, in any case, until the call’s credit is exhausted. Only one application per home is permitted.
Application, Resolution, and Justification Deadlines
The application period is two months starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas and on the municipal website. The maximum period to issue and notify the resolution is six months from that same publication.
Once the aid has been granted, the works must be executed within a period of two months from the granting resolution, and the justification for the use of funds must be submitted within the two months following the deadline set in said resolution, with the documentation provided for in rule 19.
Payment will be made via transfer to the account designated by the applicant, although it cannot be carried out while the beneficiary or their family unit is not up to date with their tax obligations and with Social Security, nor with the corporation itself, or is a debtor by a final reimbursement resolution.
Registration and applicant assistance
Applications, addressed to the Housing Area of the San Bartolomé City Council, may be submitted at:
- General Registry, at Plaza León y Castillo, 8, San Bartolomé.
- Auxiliary Registry, at Calle Merlín, 1, Playa Honda-San Bartolomé.
- Registries of the administrations adhered to the virtual registration office (ORVE) and electronic headquarters https://eadmin.sanbartolome.es.
Standardized forms are available on the municipal website and in the offices, and applications submitted through a different procedure will be inadmissible. Additional information is provided at the Department of Housing, at Plaza León y Castillo, and by telephone at 928.520.128 and 928.820.308. The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, Isidro Pérez Martín, in San Bartolomé de Lanzarote, on November 3, 2026.
The call arrives with the credit already allocated in the 2026 budget and with a limit of 5,000 euros per dwelling which, in practice, covers half the cost of the works for most applications: owners with adjusted incomes and their primary residence in the municipality are the target group, and the two-month period sets the pace for works that must be executed and subsequently justified in another two months. The coincidence with a credit modification of 925,678.75 euros approved in the same municipal plenary session, with 900,678.75 euros for real investments, reinforces the council’s orientation towards housing and public works at the close of the fiscal year.
