Salce provisionally approves the cemetery and funeral parlor fee

Por FactBox Admin

The Salce City Council has provisionally approved the creation of the regulatory ordinance for the municipal cemetery tax and the use of the wake room, according to the agreement adopted by the Plenary in an ordinary session held on July 23, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora, number 100, of August 28, 2026, page 24, with the reference R-202602067.

The measure affects all residents of the municipality, as it establishes the tax collection regime for municipal funeral services. The file is now subject to public consultation so that interested parties may examine it and submit allegations.

Public Consultation Period

In compliance with Article 17.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, the file is subject to public consultation for a period of thirty business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the official gazette.

During this period, interested parties may:

  • Examine the complete file.
  • Submit any claims and observations they deem appropriate.
  • Consult the documentation on the City Council’s electronic office at the address https://salce.sedelectronica.es.

Processing and Effects

The provisional agreement will automatically become final if no claims are submitted during the public exhibition period. In this way, the ordinance would be approved without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary.

The announcement, electronically signed on August 25, 2026, by the Mayor of Salce, is processed through the Provincial Council of Zamora, which manages the publication of the province’s official gazette.

Relevance for Residents

The new ordinance will provide the municipality with its own regulatory framework for the management of the cemetery and the wake room, fixing the fees that users must pay for these services. Citizen participation during the public consultation process is the means to adjust the text before its final approval; therefore, the residents of Salce have the opportunity to review and, if applicable, object to the proposal in the coming weeks.
